28 Things We’re Thankful For At The Jersey Shore

It’s November — the perfect time to pause and reflect on everything we’re grateful for. When it comes to living at the Jersey Shore, there’s so much that makes us smile daily. From beach days to sweet treats, live music to local charm, it’s easy to see why we love calling this community home. Read on for all the reasons we’re thankful for life by the sea.

1) The Beaches

We couldn’t start a list of gratitude without mentioning our beaches. From Sea Bright down to Cape May, there’s no shortage of sandy spots to take in those Atlantic Ocean views.

2) Local Summer

Because if you know, you know: local summer is when we get the shore back. It’s a time to reconnect with year-round locals and enjoy the best festivals and events that celebrate true community vibes.

3) Boardwalks, Rides + Arcades

Nothing says “Jersey Shore” quite like winning an arcade game, grabbing some fries, and saying yes to a ride you swore you’d never trust.

4) The Sound of Seagulls + Crashing Waves

Whenever we need to reset, the sound of the ocean reminds us that life moves at just the right pace here.

5) Bruce Springsteen

Do we even need to explain this one?

6) Farmers + Flea Markets

Saturdays that start with local produce or vintage finds are always a win, especially when it leads to a beach picnic after.

7) Proximity to NYC + Philly

We’d never want to leave, but when we do, we’re grateful that two major cities are just a short drive (or train) away.

8) Atlantic City Airport

When everyone else is stuck in Newark or JFK lines, we quietly thank the ACY airport gods.

9) Concert Venues

From The Stone Pony to PNC Bank Arts Center, we’re spoiled with legendary venues and live music right in our backyard.

Ideal for hopping from one beach town to another, or for quick weekend trips up north.

12) Wawa

Because no beach day is complete without a hoagie. Enough said.

13) LBI Sunsets

Every single one feels like the first time.

14) Free Pizza at Johnny Mac’s

A free personal pizza with every drink? Truly, what’s more Jersey Shore than that?

15) Rook Coffee

Fueling beach mornings and road trips since 2010.  Forever loyal.

16) Classic Summer Bars

Yes, we complain about the lines. And yes, we’ll still be back next season.

17) Tillie

What other towns can say they have such a fun mascot watching over them?

18) Bike Rides

There’s nothing better than a sunrise pedal to the boardwalk or a laid-back ride downtown, especially in the off-season when bikes are allowed on the boards.

19) Parades

From Pride and St. Patrick’s Day to the Wiener Dog Parade, we’ll find any excuse to celebrate.

20) Summer Fireworks

We’ve seen them a hundred times, but they still never get old.

21) Dog Beaches

Because the beach is even better when your pup can join.

22) Free Beach Wi-Fi

For the work-from-home crew (which includes your JSG team) — emails just feel better with a view of the waves.

Whether you’re on a tour or spotting from the shore, seeing marine life never loses its magic.

24) Pork Roll, Egg + Cheese

A breakfast staple.

25) Italian Delis

Because there’s nothing like grabbing a fresh sub or antipasto for your beach picnic.

26) Salt Air

Instant stress relief. Every. Single. Time.

27) Our Downtowns

From Red Bank and Asbury Park to Belmar and Spring Lake, every town has its own vibe — filled with restaurants, boutiques, and coffee shops that make us feel right at home.

28) Tiki Mondays

A post-weekend tradition we’ll never stop showing up for.
