Surprise Performance by Bruce Springsteen at The Stone Pony

Many New Jerseyans have already flocked to the movie theaters over the past few days to see the new Bruce Springsteen biopic, Deliver Me From Nowhere, on its opening weekend. Starring Jeremy Allen White as The Boss, the film follows the making of Springsteen’s 1982 album Nebraska, which also includes a lot of time spent at the Jersey Shore. To add to the excitement, Springsteen himself put on a surprise performance this weekend at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park. A Surprise Springsteen Performance

Jersey boy himself Bruce Springsteen made a surprise appearance at Asbury Park music venue The Stone Pony on Sunday, November 26th. The Stone Pony posted a video of the performance via Instagram on the night of:

“Happy birthday Stevie & Maureen Thanks for the visit, @springsteen — and for helping the Van Zandts create @teachrockorg, keeping music and arts in schools nationwide.

The post was flooded with comments from locals who got the chance to see the performance, saying things like “I was there. It was amazing!! I love Asbury Park” and “Thanks for an incredible night!” The comments also revealed that Springsteen performed a total of three songs, including Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out (shown in the video).

About Deliver Me From Nowhere

Deliver Me From Nowhere is one of the newest films to hit the theaters, and follows Bruce Springsteen during the making of his 1982 album, Nebraska. The biopic stars Shameless‘ and The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White as Springsteen.

The movie shows The Boss’ pivotal years in the early to mid-80s as he reached worldwide fame as well as his childhood days growing up at the Jersey Shore in the 1950s.
