The Hoboken Girl started in 2012 when founder Jennifer Tripucka turned her love for Hoboken into a personal blog spotlighting local businesses and life in Hudson County. What began as a grassroots, one-woman project has grown into an independent, (still one-) woman-owned media company reaching over millions of readers annually.
Today, our team includes local journalists and contributors who live and work in the communities they cover — bringing authentic, on-the-ground stories to our readers. In the last five years, we’ve expanded with The Montclair Girl, The Bergen County Girl, The Jersey Shore Girl, The Catskills Girl, and The Fairfax Girl — all part of The Local Girl® Media Group, our independent network of hyperlocal sites dedicated to celebrating and supporting the regions we serve.
Our mission is always to give back to the communities we serve — and over the last few years, we have raised over $30,000 for local non-profits and charity organizations in all of the regions we cover through various events, initiatives, and activities both boots-on-the-ground and virtually.
