About Village Green Restaurant
Located inside a historic building just steps from Ridgewood Avenue, Village Green Restaurant has been part of the Ridgewood dining scene since 1989. Over the years, the BYO restaurant became known for its warm atmosphere, creative New American menu, and cozy neighborhood feel. The restaurant built a loyal following for date nights, celebrations, family dinners, and special occasions. Its menu featured a mix of elevated comfort food, seasonal dishes, and à la carte options that made it easy to try a little bit of everything.
Some longtime menu favorites included the Short Rib + Rigatoni Ragu, Eggplant Lasagna Stack with roasted Italian eggplant, ricotta, mozzarella, marinara, and basil oil, plus seasonal dishes featuring ingredients like spring peas, tomato, and asparagus. And for many regulars (including us), a meal at Village Green was not complete without the Chocolate Peanut Butter Tart.
