Originally from Utah, Ashtyn Asay earned her bachelor's degree in journalism from Utah State University and spent several years reporting on education, environmental issues, and local communities across the state. In 2024, she traded mountain views for the Garden State and now calls Maplewood home, where she lives with her husband and their two cats. When she's not writing, you can find her with her nose in a book, at a Pilates or yoga class, or exploring a new restaurant, neighborhood, or travel destination.
