We’ve all played a game of tug of war before, but have you ever heard of a tug of war happening across the Manasquan Inlet? On October 18th at 11AM, the Manasquan Inlet Tug of War and festival is returning for its seventh year. The event will feature locals from Manasquan and Point Pleasant Beach facing off for the “Winners’ Cup,” as well as live music, food and drinks, vendors, and more. Event Details
The Manasquan Inlet Tug of War and festival will return for 2025 on Saturday, October 18th. It was supposed to take place on October 12th, but had to be postponed due to the Nor’Easter that occurred over the weekend.

The event will kick off at 11AM on both sides of the inlet, featuring live music, food and drink vendors, craft vendors, kid-friendly activities, a 50/50, beer gardens for those 21+, and more. The first heat for the tug of war portion of the event across the 500-foot Manasquan Inlet will take place at 12PM.

Per the website, the event “promises to be an epic battle, pitting the fierce competitors from Manasquan and Point Pleasant Beach against each other for the coveted Winners’ Cup.”

The tug of war event will raise money for Make-A-Wish New Jersey, which helps grant wishes for children battling critical illnesses in the Garden State.
