This year, several new businesses have opened or are set to open across the Shore, bringing fresh destinations to local communities. Read on for a list of new businesses worth checking out at the Jersey Shore this summer.
Bev Shack | 801 Main Street, Bradley Beach

The Bev Shack, a new beverage shop from Playa Bowls co-founder Abby Taylor Jordan, is set to open in Bradley Beach at 801 Main Street just a few blocks from the ocean. The concept focuses on refreshing drinks for beach days, including dirty sodas, iced teas, lemonades, hydration drinks, and energy beverages. Known for launching Playa Bowls in Belmar, Jordan is expanding her Jersey Shore footprint with this new grab-and-go drink spot designed for warm-weather sipping. The shop teased that they are “so close to opening” as of May 27th. Check for updates on its Instagram @thebevshack.
Chef Mike’s Legacy | 1415 Boulevard, Seaside Heights
Chef Mike’s Legacy is expected to open in Seaside Heights, continuing the culinary legacy of Chef Mike Jurusz, known for his work at several Jersey Shore restaurants, including Chef Mike’s Atlantic Bar + Grill in Seaside Park. It is slated to open inside the Hershey Motel on Boulevard and be an upscale dinner-only concept. It was expected to open by Memorial Day weekend, but as of June 1st there has been no update. Coastal Canteen | 142 Main Street, Manasquan
Coastal Canteen recently opened in May, adding a new seafood-focused dining destination to Manasquan. The coastal tavern features rooftop seating, a menu of fresh seafood dishes like seared scallops and linguini with clams, and a selection of creative craft cocktails. Guests can also take advantage of weekday happy hour specials and a rotating lineup of live music throughout the summer.
Gourmand | 641 Arnold Avenue, Point Pleasant
Gourmand, a chef-driven modern American restaurant, opened on May 13th at 641 Arnold Avenue inside the historic Gottlieb Building in Point Pleasant Beach. The concept blends classic and globally inspired flavors with a modern dining experience led by Executive Chef Imer Jose Garcia. The dinner-focused menu includes dishes such as wagyu lasagna, yakitori, Korean BBQ fried oysters, spicy rigatoni, and birria ramen.
La Costa | 1404 Grand Central Avenue, Lavallette
La Costa recently opened in Lavallette, bringing tropical vibes and a fresh take on the coffee run to the Jersey Shore. Located on Grand Central Avenue, the café serves canned specialty coffees, matchas, and dirty sodas packaged on-site for easy beach-day sipping, alongside bagels with customizable spreads and toppings.
LowTide Smoothie Co | 3626 Route 35 North, Normandy Beach
Low Tide Smoothie Co. is an upcoming beachside smoothie shop that will serve cold-pressed juices, smoothies, hydration drinks, coffee, and tea. The brand already operates a location in Toms River and is expanding to the Jersey Shore with a new spot just steps from the beach. Open daily from 7AM to 3PM, the café will feature protein-packed signature smoothies like the LowTide Fav, Shore Break, and Sunkissed.
Little Gem | 300 Main Street, Avon
Little Gem, located at 300 Main Street in Avon-by-the-Sea, is a cozy new brunch spot that opened in March. Co-founded by Justin Skribner and his brother Steve, the restaurant reflects Skribner’s return to his hometown after a culinary career in New York Cit. The menu features thoughtfully crafted dishes like lemon ricotta pancakes, French omelets, and elevated breakfast classics, all served in a bright, inviting space with French-inspired bistro charm.
Lobster Dock | 3626 Route 35 North, Normandy Beach
Lobster Dock recently opened its second Jersey Shore location in Normandy Beach, expanding from its original outpost in Ortley Beach. The seafood spot serves a menu of coastal favorites, including raw bar selections like local clams and oysters, seafood cocktails, lobster rolls, crab cake sandwiches, soups, salads, and family-friendly options.
Mid Shore Meats on The Island | 3591 Route 35 North
Mid Shore Meats on The Island has opened at 3591 Route 35 North in Normandy Beach, taking over the former Lasolas space while continuing its role as a local market and deli. With another location in Toms River, the shop serves handcrafted sandwiches, Italian meats, fresh-baked breads and muffins, and a selection of grocery essentials for beach days and everyday meals.
Papa Ganache | 3620 Highway 35 North
Papa Ganache is now open in Normandy Beach at 3620 Highway 35 North, adding a new stop for vegan and gluten-free baked goods at the Jersey Shore. The bakery, also known for its Matawan location, serves a wide selection of sweet and savory treats made without dairy, eggs, or animal products, including pastries, empanadas, and small-batch desserts
Pelicans Wharf | 419 Bayside Terrace, Seaside Heights

Pelicans Wharf is an upcoming seafood restaurant planned for Seaside Heights from local restaurateur and chef Justin Carlisli, owner of Sunset Keys in Lavallette. The menu features seafood boils, lobster rolls, po-boys, clam chowder, and other coastal favorites, along with brunch. They officially opened for service as of Memorial Day weekend.
The Undergrind Cafe | 563 Route 35 North, Normandy Beach
The Undergrind Cafe is now open in Normandy Beach, bringing a London-inspired café concept to the Jersey Shore. Created by owners Kim and Mike, the menu blends British café staples with coastal favorites, including specialty coffee drinks, lattes, scones, sandwiches, pizza, salads, and “toasties” like grilled cheese.
