I’m going to pizza, but I’m staying for Chicken Parm: Casano’s Pizza Parlor | 8 Highland Cross
If eating a slice of pizza in the middle of Ma’s living room is part of the experience, look no further than Casano’s Pizza Parlor. This pizza shop is across the street from Lincoln Park, located near the three-way intersection of Highland Cross + Park Avenue. Casano’s has great pizza options, including Burrata Pizza, Trenton Style Pie (mozzarella, chunks of plum tomato, oregano, cut Trenton-style), + French Onion Pie. The Chicken Parmigiana is what people love, too. In addition to great pizzas, the vibe is warm + welcoming with friendly staff. Those sticking around to eat may get a chance to experience a new menu item, as Casano’s is constantly cooking up new + alternative styles of pizza + chicken parm for diners to try.
I want to grab pizza on a busy street so I can run errands too: Da Mario Pizzeria | 25 Park Avenue
Ma Mario Pizzeria is conveniently placed on Rutherford’s ever-busy Park Avenue, making it a great lunch stop on an errand run. There are some tables + chairs inside for those looking to take a seat while they eat. Pizza can be ordered by the slice or by the pie.
I want a pizza spot that prides itself on making its own dough: Ferazzoli’s Italian Kitchen | 317 Union Avenue
Ferazzoli’s Italian Kitchen is a family owned + operated establishment that advertises its hand-made dough. Dine in or take these house-made pies home. Ferazzoli’s also has “made fresh to order” appetizers + salads. TMG suggests starting with the Garlic Knots or Risotto Balls, then moving on to a classic Margarita pie or the Mac + Cheese Pie for those who dare.
I’m looking for pizza options in an upscale spot: Fiorentini Restaurant | 98 Park Avenue
View this post on Instagram
Fiorentini prides itself on serving farm-to-table dishes. There are menus available for brunch and dinner, + a blind tasting. Pizza at this establishment exists on the dinner menu in the form of pizza rustica. Under “Bites of the Land,” there is a Pizza Rustica of the Day option.
I want a pizza spot that has lots of options to build your own: Mama Rosa Pizza + Pasta | 33 Union Avenue
View this post on Instagram
Mama Rosa Pizza + Pasta is located near the corner of Union Avenue + Springfield Avenue. While there are many options on the menu, including specialty pies, pasta dishes, heroes, wraps, + burgers, there are also lots of options to build that pizza you’ve been dying to try. Options to build-you-own-pie include a Small (12 inch), Large (16 inch), Extra Large (18 inch), Sicilian, Gluten-free Personal (10 inch), + heart shaped pizzas.
I’m craving pizza for lunch with a bunch of apps to share with friends: Panebianco Cucina Italiana | 88 Park Avenue
Panebianco Cucina Italiana is a great spot to go for lunch, to dress up or down. There are plenty of options to split for lunch. First, be sure to order the pizza from the lunch menu (San Marzano tomato, mozzarella, parmigiano, + arugula). Also try the Poached Pear Salad (fennel, arugula, radicchio, endive, caramelized pecans, cranberries, gorgonzola, pear-champagne vinaigrette), the Feta Cheese Turnover (apricot, pistachio, thyme, honey drizzle), + the charcuterie board. Pizza may also be available upon request at the restaurant. With its warm + welcoming staff, patrons will soon feel like they are part of the Panebianco family. While the restaurant provides tasting menus for guests, this establishment is also looking to have classes coming in March of 2026, including pizza making, pasta making, + wine tastings. More class information is coming soon.
I want to make my pizza + have it too: Song’E Napoli | 106 Park Avenue
View this post on Instagram
If the Italian blue was placed in a restaurant, it would have to be Song E Napoli. Walls to wall blues including Italian football decor + a beautifully tiled pizza oven, Song E Napoli captures European vibes in its smaller bit might restaurant front. Table seating is available as well as a small bar section. Song’E Napoli also has something special when it comes to pizzas. Not only is this Italian Restaurant available for dining in, but it also has pizza classes courtesy of Song’E Napule Academy. New pizza makers will learn a recipe for a classic rustic dough, as well as pizza shaping, rolling, + topping processes. Most of the classes take place during the summer months, but those interested are welcome to call the restaurant for more class information.
Neighboring Honorable Mentions
I want comfort food with Italian classics: Gusto Woodfire Pizza Kitchen | 119 Park Avenue, East Rutherford
A nearby option with wood-fired pizzas is Gusto. Gusto combines comfort food with Italian classics. Patrons should visit with friends and try splitting a classic margarita pie, along with Ma! The Meatballs! (beef blend, tomato sauce, romano cheese & torn basil), + Chicken Romano (bread crumb crusted pan sauteéd, and topped with spicy rigatoni vodka, burrata, and pesto drizzle).

I want fun pizza options: Casa D’Amici | 599 Ridge Road, North Arlington
Another neighboring spot to check out is Casa D’Amici. Two brothers traveled from Albania to America with a passion for cuisine + hospitality. The end result is Casa D’Amici, which offers a fun mix of Italian, Albanian, and other European foods with American influences. Casa D’Amici has seating inside as well as take out + catering options. TMG recommends trying the Arugula Salad Pizza (mozzarella cheese, arugula, shaved parmesan, balsamic vinegar glazes, olive oil + oregano), or the Fried Calamari Pizza (topped with tender fried calamari) from its Specialty Pizza Menu. Casa A’Mici also has classic pies, grandma pies, and pizza rolls.
