The name “Ani” means “big brother” in Japanese, reflecting values of family and community. It’s about nurturing growth and bringing people together, an energy you’ll feel as soon as you walk in. Ani Ramen began as a partnership born from a shared love for good food and the belief that high-quality ramen deserves a place in the U.S. Since then, it has become a popular spot for locals, providing a relaxed atmosphere and delicious bowls that have earned a loyal following.

The menu at Ani Ramen features a variety of options, from signature ramen bowls to rice bowls and bao buns. A standout is the No. 8 Chef’s Yakiniku Shrimp, a specialty ramen dish that’s definitely worth trying, along with the shishito peppers (iykyk) and small bites that pair great with a steaming bowl of ramen. This Ridgewood location will be Ani Ramen’s sixth in New Jersey and the first in Bergen County, making it an exciting addition to the local food scene.

We received a DM tipping us off that a new Ani Ramen location might be coming to Ridgewood, so we did some digging. It turns out, Boozy Burbs reported the possibility of Ani Ramen arriving in Ridgewood, though no official plans have been confirmed for 2026. Further investigation revealed that Cornerstone Builders Group, a construction company, posted to its Instagram feed on February 17th, showcasing the construction of the Ani Ramen project in Ridgewood.

We’ve reached out to the team at Ani Ramen for more details about the opening timeline and additional info on the space. We’ll be sure to update this article as more info becomes available.
