There are plenty of new and exciting activities to try and places to eat in Bergen County. The latest additions in the area offer something for everyone, from coffee shops and fitness studios and of course, delicious food to enjoy. Here are the newest businesses open and coming soon to Bergen County.

Cafe Ssum + Karaoke | 450 Broad Avenue, Palisades Park

Status: Open

Cafe Ssum + Karaoke is a Korean-inspired cafe and karaoke spot in Palisades Park where guests can grab a drink, enjoy a bite, and sing their favorite songs. The cafe offers private karaoke rooms, making it a fun place to hang out with friends and enjoy delicious treats. 

Ctrl Alt Refresh | 95 Anderson Street, Apartment 3, Hackensack

Status: Coming Soon

Ctrl Alt Refresh is a gaming cafe with Filipino and Chinese-inspired eats. The space will feature high-end computers available to rent by the hour, a lounge with couches and a projector screen, and a menu of comfort foods like rice bowls, baked goods, and specialty drinks.

Dipped and Smashed | 187 Main Street, Fort Lee

Status: Coming Soon

Dipped ‘n’ Smashed is a Hoboken-based restaurant that is opening its second location at Hudson Lights in Fort Lee. It serves smashburgers, Nashville hot chicken, hot dogs, desserts, and more.

Drip Lab | 272 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst

Status: Coming Soon

Drip Lab Coffee Co. is a new coffee shop coming to Lyndhurst. The shop is currently under construction and does not yet have an official opening date.

Oradell Animal Hospital

FORME House | 175 Rock Road, Glen Rock

Status: Open

Forme House is bringing a new luxury Pilates and wellness destination to Glen Rock. The studio will feature multiple movement modalities focused on strength, mobility, endurance, and form. An official opening date has not yet been announced.

Haven Fit Club | 121 Gertrude Avenue, Paramus

Status: Open

A new fitness spot is coming to Paramus, just a few minutes from Westfield Garden State Plaza. Haven Fit Club focuses on coach-led classes, small-group training, strength, and long-term wellness. 

Jersey Gyros | Ramsey

Status: Coming Soon

Jersey Gyros is expanding beyond its original Lodi location with a new restaurant planned for Ramsey. The family-owned spot is known for authentic Greek dishes like pork, chicken, and lamb gyros, souvlaki, spanakopita, and Greek-style fries. An address and opening date have not yet been shared.

Joysey Cafe | 274 Broadway, Elmwood Park

Status: Open

Joysey Cafe is a coffee shop in Elmwood Park serving espresso drinks, frappes, matcha, chai, smoothies, and other specialty beverages. 

K Midnight Kitchen | 24 Hilliard Avenue, Edgewater

Status: Coming Soon

K Midnight Kitchen is a new Caribbean-inspired restaurant coming to Edgewater. The restaurant will serve Dominican street food alongside Caribbean and soul food favorites, including yaroa, empanadas, fried chicken, rasta pasta, sandwiches, and specialty drinks.

Khyber Coffee and Tea House | 264 Main Street, Hackensack

Status: Open

Khyber Coffee & Tea House is a South Asian-inspired cafe in Hackensack serving specialty coffee, chai, matcha, and tea drinks alongside pastries and light bites.

Knockout Bagels | 51 E Main Street, Ramsey

Status: Coming Soon

Knockout Bagels is a new bagel shop coming to Ramsey. The spot will bring another option to the borough for fresh bagels, breakfast sandwiches, and other morning bites.

Penelope’s Pizzeria and Sports Bar | 25 Schuyler Avenue, North Arlington

Status: Open

Penelope’s Pizzeria & Sports Bar is now open and serving pizza, wings, burgers, sandwiches, and other Italian-American favorites. The restaurant also features a full bar, multiple TVs for watching sports, craft cocktails, and weekend DJs.

Pop Up Bagels | 6-8 Washington Street, Tenafly

Status: Coming Soon

PopUp Bagels is making its way to Bergen County, and Tenafly is the lucky town. The “rip and dip” concept is known for hot bagels, rotating schmears, and a devoted following. The new shop is expected to open along Tenafly’s main strip.

Raising Cane’s | 55 Route 4, Paramus

Status: Coming Soon

Raising Cane’s is preparing to open along Route 4 in Paramus, bringing its crispy chicken, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, and famous Cane’s Sauce to the area. An official opening date has not yet been announced.

Robby’s Pizza | Ridgewood

Robby’s Pizza is a new sourdough pizzeria coming soon to downtown Ridgewood from restaurateur Robby Corujo, who also owns Wayne Ale House and Little Falls Tavern. The pizzeria will specialize in crispy sourdough pies, though an official opening date has not yet been announced.

Rojo Tequileria + Mexican Grill | 790 Anderson Avenue, Cliffside Park

ROJO Tequileria + Mexican Grill is a new Mexican restaurant and tequila bar coming to Cliffside Park. The restaurant will offer Mexican and Latin-inspired dishes, craft cocktails, and a new bar, with space for private events also planned.

[solidcore] | 125 Vervalen Street, Closter

Solidcore is bringing another low-impact, high-intensity workout studio to Bergen County. The upcoming Closter Plaza location will be the fitness brand’s second outpost in the county.

Tahini’s Mediterranean | Lodi Commons, Lodi

Tahini’s Mediterranean is a new Mediterranean restaurant coming to the Lodi Commons. The restaurant has signed a 1,694-square-foot lease at the shopping center and will mark the brand’s expansion into New Jersey.

The Cuban Press | 271 Westwood Avenue, Westwood

This restaurant will bring Cuban food + coffee to Westwood, including pressed sandwiches and empanadas.

The Filling Station | 329 Union Avenue, Rutherford

The Filling Station, also known as TFS Burger Works, is a new burger spot coming to Rutherford. The restaurant will serve burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, fries, ice cream, and milkshakes.

The Golden Goat | 133 Park Avenue, Park Ridge

Golden Goat is bringing Asian comfort food to downtown Park Ridge. The concept is centered around handmade dumplings, noodles, wok-fired dishes, and street food-inspired plates.

The Olive Cafe | 1103 Goffle Road, Hawthorne

Status: Open

The Olive Cafe is a modern, Mediterranean-inspired cafe in Hawthorne serving breakfast, lunch, specialty coffee, and grab-and-go options. The menu includes breakfast sandwiches, wraps, bowls, salads, and more, with the cafe emphasizing fresh ingredients and food made with 100% olive oil and no seed oils.

The Station | 24 Park Street, Demarest

The Station is a new American brasserie coming to Demarest’s historic former railroad station. The restaurant will offer seasonal dishes, approachable favorites, cocktails, and indoor and outdoor dining, with an opening projected for 2027.

The Vintedge | 9 Polito Avenue, Lyndhurst

The VintEdge is a new residential hotel in Lyndhurst offering furnished one- and two-bedroom residences with hotel-style amenities.

The Well House Yoga and Ayurveda | 45 Emerson Plaza E, Emerson

Status: Open

The Well House Yoga and Ayurveda is a new wellness studio in Emerson. The studio offers yoga and Ayurveda-based wellness services. 

Two Box Chicken | 687 Grand Avenue, Ridgefield

Status: Coming Soon

Two Box Chicken is a new chicken spot coming to Ridgefield. The restaurant will bring a casual option for fried chicken and other comfort-food favorites to the Bergen County borough.

Yui Izakaya | 2060 Hudson Street, Fort Lee

Status: Coming Soon

Yui Izakaya is opening at Hudson Lights, according to the @fortleeats Instagram account. The Japanese concept is replacing conveyor-belt restaurant Otter Fine Sushi. More opening details are expected soon.
