Ashtyn Asay New Jersey got a little more Hollywood this week. Actors Kevin Hart and Henry Cavill were spotted filming their upcoming Netflix spy comedy in Glen Ridge on Wednesday, September 9th, after the production also recently took over Delicious Orchards, located at 320 State Route 34 in Colts Neck. A video shared on Facebook confirmed that the business was involved in filming a movie after the farm and market were temporarily closed. Now, it appears the closure may have been connected to the star-studded Netflix production, which has been seen filming at locations across the state. Keep reading to learn more.
Filming in Glen Ridge
In Glen Ridge, Henry and Kevin were spotted filming outside a private home on September 9th. According to Essex Local, Kevin was spotted wearing a Joy Division T-shirt, plaid pajama pants, and slides with socks, while Henry wore an all-black outfit and sat on a motorcycle. In the scenes filmed, Kevin’s character examined a phone and showed its contents to Henry’s character, with a lime-green Porsche parked nearby.

According to IMDb, the movie is currently untitled, and no release date has been set. However, Essex Local reported that chairs on the Glen Ridge set bore the name “The Serpent and the Snake,” along with a graphic of two spies with guns drawn.
The movie is being directed by McG, who is known for films including Uglies and Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, and stars Kevin and Henry as rival spies who unexpectedly find themselves in the same Lamaze class with their wives. Beyond its two leads, the movie also reportedly stars Justine Lupe of Succession, Aja Naomi King of Lessons in Chemistry, and Jason Isaacs of The White Lotus. Kevin is also producing the film, which was written by Wendy and Lizzie Molyneux, Adam and Aaron Nee, and Jonathan Tropper.
Filming in Colts Neck
The production also made its way to Colts Neck earlier this month. Delicious Orchards, a country food market, announced on Facebook that it would be closed September 1st-3rd. The business later shared a video showing a yellow “SET” sign on its front door. While the farm did not identify the production behind the closure, a report from New Jersey 101.5 later connected the filming to the Netflix spy movie.

New Jersey on Film
New Jersey’s Hollywood moment is still going strong, with productions popping up everywhere from Hudson County to the Jersey Shore. Kevin Hart’s Netflix comedy 72 Hours filmed in Jersey City, Hoboken, and Long Branch, and the state has also been a backdrop for the upcoming Grown Ups 3.
