Where to Order Thanksgiving Pies in Northern Virginia

Even though the turkey is the star of the Thanksgiving table, we think the real headliner is the dessert selection. Pies are a quintessential part of the Thanksgiving spread, and many local bakeries have already started pre-orders for the sweet treats. The Fairfax Girl has prepared a list of our favorite spots for pies in Northern Virginia, including some gluten-free and vegan choices. Read on for more about where to order Thanksgiving pies in Northern Virginia.

Acme Pie Co. has the same delicious pies and laid-back vibes at its new location, just across the street from the original, on Columbia Pike. Baker Sol Schott has six special flavors ready for Thanksgiving: Apple, Apple Cranberry, Mixed Berry, Pecan Chocolate Maple, Pumpkin with Candied Ginger, and Sweet Potato. FG pro-tip: Acme just added breakfast during the week, so if you are tasked with picking up the pies, you can time your visit to get a flaky biscuit or two, too.

The Bakery has a full coffee bar in addition to the rest of the Amphora treat selection, so the pie pickup isn’t the worst task a person could have.

There are no pies at this local doughnut shop, but the seasonal doughnuts are too fun not to include. In addition to the seasonal half-dozen, the team has an oversized turkey doughnut available for pre-order, which we think would be a cute centerpiece for the Thanksgiving brunch.
