Thanksgiving is just around the corner and while the feast is fantastic, we don’t always want to deal with the shopping, prep, or cleanup. There are several local Northern Virginia restaurants offering prepared meals for Thanksgiving – including all the classics of the traditional meal plus vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. Read on for some of our favorite local spots for a prepared Thanksgiving meal.

Brickhouse Butcher | 107 Rowell Court, Falls Church

Turkeys, hams, rib roasts, tenderloins, and sides are all available at Falls Church’s Brickhouse Butcher. The turkeys are sourced from Chapel Ford Farm, and both whole turkeys and breasts are available. Mac’n’cheese, mashed potatoes, and gravy are also available.

A Cuban Thanksgiving will be unforgettable with catering from Colada Shop. Colada Shop has meal packages and a la carte items available, all with classic Cuban flavors, such as turkey chorizo empanadas and chicken and pineapple skewers. We’re looking forward to the cranberry-guava pork BBQ sliders.
Earl’s | 2605 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington

This longtime Arlington favorite is more than just sandwiches. The Earl’s team has a full Thanksgiving menu available, including appetizers, the bird, and sides. Everything is available a la carte so if you just need a few items to round out what you’ve got already, Earl’s is the move.

Ellie Bird | 125 Founder’s Avenue, Falls Church

You may not be a Michelin-starred chef, but you can serve a Michelin-starred meal with the Thanksgiving package from Ellie Bird. The Ellie Bird team is offering the Gather Box, which is a full meal for four, plus several a la carte sides and desserts. We’ll be just fine with our to-go container of the sticky toffee pudding and our phone on DND.
Joon | 8045 Leesburg Pike, Suite 120, Vienna
Elegant Joon is a go-to spot for a beautiful and delicious meal, and this Thanksgiving, you can enjoy the meal from the comfort of home. The meal includes Persian takes on Thanksgiving classics, such as the cardamom-spiced sweet potato casserole. FG tip: Joon is offering large-format cocktails as part of the Thanksgiving options; we’re going for the Fig Old Fashioned.
Kalypso’s Sports Tavern | 1617 Washington Plaza N, Reston
This quintessential Reston spot has a ready-to-go Thanksgiving meal available. The meal comes with a choice of four sides, a pie, and a whole turkey served with gravy and cranberry sauce.
Lake Anne Coffee House + Wine Bar | 1612 Washington Plaza N, Reston
Everyone’s favorite spot for a drink on the patio has Thanksgiving covered with everything available from just the appetizers to the whole meal. Many of the items can be made vegan or vegetarian. Items can be ordered a la carte, and the meal entrees include Meatloaf and Roasted Turkey.

One of the (champagne) problems of dining at Lebanese Taverna is that it’s hard to pick what to order since everything from soups to sides is delicious. The Thanksgiving meal options from the Lebanese Taverna solve that problem since there are literally endless combinations. You could even have all sides and salads if that’s your vibe. Whatever you pick, don’t skip the baklava platter for dessert.

Matt + Tony’s – Del Ray | 1501 Mt Vernon Avenue, Alexandria

This neighborhood favorite has the classic Thanksgiving meal available for preorder, but we’re really excited about the Morning After Brunch meal. The meal kit, for two people, includes cheddar scallion biscuits, home fries, and yogurt parfaits, among other choices. Matt + Tony’s also has large-batch cocktails available to go, such as the Pecan Old Fashioned and the Spiced Cranberry Americano.
Mount Vernon Inn | 3200 Mount Vernon Memorial Highway, Alexandria

In 1789, George Washington’s proclamation of Thanksgiving was one of the first steps to make the holiday officially observed on the last Thursday of November. You can ponder what the US’s Founding Father would think of the modern version of the holiday while enjoying a meal from the Mount Vernon Inn. The menu has several choices of entrees and sides, plus a la carte items. The menu also includes several gluten-free items.
Roberto’s | 144 Church Street, NW, Vienna
The Thanksgiving menu at Roberto’s has a choice between turkey and roasted angus prime rib for entrees. The rest of the menu includes James Beard award-winning Chef’s take on the classic stuffing, gravy, and so on. There’s also an add-on menu with butternut squash soup, lasagna, house-made tortelloni, and more.
Rocklands | 25 S. Quaker Lane, Alexandria + 3471 Washington Boulevard, Arlington

Everything from appetizers to desserts is available from Rocklands, including house-made sauces and sides. The entree options include Fresh Whole Smoked Turkey with Turkey Gravy; Smoked Turkey Breast with Turkey Gravy; Whole Honey Glazed Spiral Ham; Whole Grilled Side of Salmon; Whole Grilled Tenderloin of Beef; and Whole Grilled Tenderloin of Pork. Sides include bacon and chive mashed potatoes, Southern-style green beans, and roasted beet salad, among others.
Ruthie’s All Day | 3411 5th Street South, Arlington
Southern food spot Ruthie’s has the whole Thanksgiving meal for at-home enjoyment. Southern classics, including deviled eggs, pimento cheese, biscuits, and collard greens, are some of the side and appetizer options, while the entree choices include smoked brisket, smoked turkey, and spare ribs. FG loves the campfire chocolate chip cookies for dessert.
Saint Germain Catering | 8455 K Tyco Road, Vienna

This women-owned catering company is a local favorite for good reason: delicious food plus incredible service since 1998. There are choices for every kind of meal this holiday, from ultra-traditional to vegan to vegetarian or just the turkey.
Sloppy Mama’s | 5731 Langston Boulevard, Arlington

Sloppy Mama’s is one of Arlington’s favorite spots for barbeque and the team is offering Thanksgiving catering this year. The menu includes smoked turkey, smoked turkey breast, brisket, rack of ribs, and pulled pork for entrees. The sides are BBQ classics including mac’n’cheese, sausage and cornbread stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, collard greens, and more.
Smokecraft Modern BBQ | 1051 N Highland Street, Arlington

The team at Smokecraft will have everything from appetizers to desserts available for Thanksgiving. Like usual, the menu at Smokecraft has all of the classics, but slightly elevated to make the meal unforgettable. For example, the entree choices include a smoked turkey, a smoked half ham, a smoked prime rib, a smoked leg of lamb, an angus beef brisket, and a spatchcocked half-turkey. No dry Butterballs here. Sides include choices such as roasted potatoes cooked in duck fat, Grandma’s stuffing, and Bourbon sweet mashed potatoes.
Trummers | 7134 Main Street, Clifton
The Thanksgiving meal at Trummer’s has a fun mix of classic dishes and new flavors. Take the pretzel bread stuffing muffins served alongside garlic mashed potatoes. The meal includes a cornbread appetizer and a pumpkin pie dessert.
