Most people think of Herndon and Reston as a hotspot for tech companies, but this stretch of Fairfax County will soon be home to a handful of new breweries and brewpubs. From nano and microbreweries to national brands, beer drinkers in Fairfax County will have many new choices as 2026 progresses. Read on for more about the five new and incoming breweries in Herndon and Reston.
Dogfish Head Ale House | 11995 Inspiration Street, Reston
After closing two previous Northern Virginia locations in 2023, the Delaware-based brewery will open a nearly 8,000-square-foot space in Reston. The location will be on the second floor of the Marriott AC Hotel and feature its own craft brews plus pub food classics.
Hawkley Brewing | 257 Sunset Park, Herndon
Hawkley Brewing is a new craft brewery taking over a space in the Sunset Drive Office Park with a hoppy history: it was the same space that was formerly home to Aslin Brewery and Juicy Brewing Company. Owner Monte Hawkins says the space will have food trucks on the weekends, and he looks forward to creating a neighborhood gathering spot.

Lake Anne Brew House | 11424 Washington Plaza W, Reston

Lake Anne Brew House is a community-focused nano-brewery and taproom in historic Lake Anne Village Center, known for its small-batch craft beers and relaxing lakeside atmosphere. The team announced in fall 2025 that it would take over a vacant space next door, expanding the taproom and its offerings, which will include n/a choices, ciders, and hard seltzers.
Ornery Brewing | 2310 Woodland Crossing Drive Suite F, Herndon

Ornery Beer Company’s Herndon Public House has opened a full-service brewpub featuring its in-house beers, elevated pub fare, and a welcoming social atmosphere just off Sunrise Valley Drive. This is the third location for the brand, which has another brewpub in Fairfax and a brewery in Manassas.

Voodoo Brewing | 2311 Dulles Station Boulevard, Herndon

Voodoo Brewing Co., a Pennsylvania-based craft brewery brand, is setting up its first D.C.-area restaurant and brewpub at Makers Rise in Herndon, bringing its lineup of award-winning beers and pub fare to the community. This is the third Virginia location for the brand, joining spots in Williamsburg and Virginia Beach.
