Tourists from around the world looking to shop at American Dream or catch a Bruno Mars concert at MetLife can now do so in style, thanks to a new luxury hotel opening nearby. The property was previously home to the Park Hotel at the Meadowlands until real estate developer P3 Properties acquired it in January 2026. Just before thousands of people swarmed the area for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the developers began revitalizing the 21-story building under the World of Blue brand, with the hotel partially opening in spring 2026. World of Blue Hotel held its official grand opening this August at 2 Meadowlands Plaza in East Rutherford, and guests can now enjoy the full range of amenities at the newly renovated hotel. Read on for more information about this new luxury hotel opening near MetLife.
What to Know About World of Blue Hotel
The recently updated hotel aims to offer an upscale and extravagant experience that is not easily found in the surrounding area. It is conveniently located less than a five minutes drive from MetLife Stadium and American Dream with Newark Liberty International Airport 18 minutes away by driving.

The hotel features 423 rooms with four levels of luxury to choose from. The prices range from $189 for the bottom tier Blue View Rooms to $329 for suites that offer a separate living room and top floor views.
All guests have access to amenities such as a third-floor pool surrounded by glass walls that allow sunlight to fill the space. Right next door is the 24-hour fitness room supplied with cardio equipment, free weights and resistance equipment. There are also plans to add spa services that would include beauty treatments and massages, but these are not currently available to guests.
Dining at World of Blue Hotel
Three dining spaces are just an elevator ride away from the rooms so visitors don’t need to head into Manhattan just for a bite to eat. The Low Tide Bar and Grill is a sitdown restaurant that is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner in addition to an alcohol selection. There is also the Cove which is a full bar with signature cocktails and light bites.
For early mornings, guests can go to the Cafe, a traditional coffee shop environment with pastries, espresso style drinks and light breakfast items.
Meeting + Event Space
World of Blue also has 30,000 square feet of meeting and event space that includes a main ballroom big enough to fit 1,000 guests. There are 22 event-designated spaces that range from small conference rooms to a stageroom fit with a production stage and equipment.

Before World of Blue
The 2 Meadowlands Plaza space has undergone multiple changes over the past decades. Originally built in 1986, the location was home to the Sheraton Meadowlands Hotel & Conference Center for decades before becoming the Hilton Meadowlands. The property was later rebranded as the Park Hotel at the Meadowlands before P3 Properties acquired it in January 2026 and began transforming it into World of Blue. Now, the property is entering its next chapter as World of Blue following a major renovation and rebranding.
