ACME called the Edgewater Commons space home for more than a decade before permanently closing its doors on August 15th, 2026. The grocery store opened in the fall of 2015. According to NJ.com, the location closed because Albertsons Companies, ACME’s parent company, did not renew the lease for the space.
The transition from ACME to ShopRite means locals can still complete their grocery runs at the shopping center. Edgewater Commons is also home to Target, HomeGoods, Marshalls, Sephora, and several other major retailers.
