Serafina, the Italian restaurant known for its pasta, pizza, + classic Italian dishes, is opening its first New Jersey location right here in Bergen County. The new restaurant has been in the works for quite some time and will officially open in downtown Tenafly on Wednesday, October 14th at 5PM. Serafina Is Opening in Tenafly
Serafina will open at 25 Highwood Avenue in Tenafly, just off the main downtown stretch. The Bergen County outpost marks Serafina’s first New Jersey restaurant. The location has been in the works since 2024, when signage for the restaurant first appeared at the property.

Serafina got its start in New York City in 1995 and has since grown to include multiple restaurants throughout Manhattan + the surrounding area. The restaurant is known for Italian dishes in a lively sit-down setting, making this one a solid addition to the Tenafly dinner scene.
What’s on the Menu
An official menu for the Tenafly location has not yet been posted, but diners can expect something similar to the menus found at Serafina’s other restaurants. Serafina locations serve a mix of antipasti, salads, pizzas, pastas, + Italian-inspired entrées. Depending on the location, dishes include options like cacio e pepe, chicken Milanese, branzino, Bolognese, + more. And don’t sleep on the burger, IYKYK. Serafina’s burger appears across several of its existing menus and is typically made with Wagyu beef, fontina cheese, caramelized onions, + French fries.

And because there’s always room for (extra) dessert, a post-dinner walk over to BYY Build Your Yogurt for froyo could definitely be in order. BYY is located just a few blocks away at 6 Washington Street.
Tenafly on the Rise
Serafina isn’t the only familiar name making its way to Tenafly lately. PopUp Bagels, the well-known bagel brand known for its “Grip, Rip and Dip” approach, opened its first Bergen County storefront on Washington Street on October 9th.

With PopUp Bagels now open + Serafina arriving just days later, Tenafly has welcomed two popular names with strong New York-area followings in less than a week. Serafina Tenafly officially opens on Wednesday, October 14th at 5PM. Reservations are available through Serafina’s website.
