An exciting addition to downtown Haworth opened its doors in late December. Jersey & Co Gelato opened at 160 Terrace Street, Suite 2A, on December 20th, 2025. And since Team BG believes there’s no such thing as it being too cold for ice cream, we checked out and got a first look – and taste – of the new shop. About the Shop
Founded by Peter Jose and Lekendrick Shaw, Jersey & Co’s unique selection of milk-based gelatos and non-dairy sorbets is all fresh-made in-store. This is the brand’s third location, following shops in Jersey City as well as Newark Airport and replaces the quickly closed Fitzie’s Ice in Haworth, which initially opened in summer 2025. The menu items are a fusion of Filipino flavors and classic Italian gelato. Co-owner Peter studied gelato-making in Italy and brings authenticity to the craft. In addition to the artisan iced treats, the shop has affogato blends, Boba’lato (Jersey + Co’s twist on Boba lattes), milkshakes, Calamansi Spritzers, and various espresso drinks.
The hand-crafted small-batch offerings change often and with the seasons, but some of the staple flavors include Ube, inspired by the owner’s Filipino heritage, as well as the signature Pistachio.

Past seasonal flavors have included Dubai Chocolate, Apple Cider Donut, Pumpkin Spice, and Mint Chocolate Chip. Many of the ingredients are sourced directly from Italy, including the chocolate, vanilla beans, roasted pistachios, and even the cones. Casey from Team BG tried a combo of the Stracciatella and Dubai Chocolate flavors, topped, of course, with the pistachio topping, and the flavors were decadent but fresh. One of our favorite options is the insulated to-go boxes (also sourced from Italy), so you can take your favorite flavors home and not worry about them melting on the drive.
In addition to the in-store offerings, Jersey + Co has catering services, great for weddings, parties, and corporate events. One of the catering options is a mobile gelato bike, so we’ll be waiting for our invite when someone books that.
