Fall is officially here, meaning some of the best weekend plans are happening right here in Bergen County.Festivals, pumpkin patches, and live music embody this time of year, and there are plenty of options in Parkridge, Tenafly, North Arlington, and more. Artisan Market | Bergen Town Center, Paramus

September 27th | 12PM–7PM

 This small business-powered event at Bergen Town Center will feature 25+ artisans and vendors. Visitors can expect sweet treats, handmade gifts, home decor, jewelry, pet products, and more to be available for purchase. For information on becoming a vendor, click here.

Bergen County Fall Harvest Festival | 199 Challenger Road, Ridgefield Park

September 26th | 6PM–9PM
September 27th – September 28th | 10AM–5PM

Canterly Place

This three-day, family-friendly event will include exhibits, entertainment, food, rides, and live music shows throughout the weekend. Over 75 vendors are also expected, selling a variety of arts + crafts and collectible items. Parking and admission are free of charge.

Bogota Fall Festival | Oscar E. Olsen Park, Bogota

October 18th | 10AM–2PM
Rain Date | October 19th

this fall festival hosted by the Borough of Bogota Recreation Department will feature plenty of youth activities, including pumpkin painting, face painting, photo opportunities, and food options, such as hot chocolate, apple cider, and doughnuts. One free pumpkin is given to each participating child.

Celebrate North Arlington | Borough Hall Complex, North Arlington

September 27th | Starts at 12PM

Oradell Animal Hospital

This North Arlington festival aims for one thing: to have “something for everyone in the community”. With kids’ rides, a petting zoo, food trucks, vendors, and a beer garden for adults, every visitor has options for a good time. Live music entertainment will also be available, headlined by DJ Ray and New Jersey pop cover band Face 2 Face.

Hasbrouck Heights Town Day | Woodland Park, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ

September 27th | 10:30AM–3:30PM
Rain Date | October 4th

Sponsored by the Hasbrouck Heights Recreation Department, this event will include free food and drinks (while supplies last), giveaways, live music (including performances from New Jersey rock band Big Bang Baby), inflatable rides, and games. Community organizations are also encouraged to share information and handouts with visitors.

Leonia Oktoberfest | Wood Park, Leonia

September 27th | 3PM–9PM

the Leonia Oktoberfest is a fundraiser for the Rotary Club of the Palisades and will feature food, drinks, and music to bring family and friends together. Projects being supported include the Weekend Snack Pack Program through CFA and the Haiti Project through the Holy Name Foundation, which both help support disadvantaged communities.

Maywood Fall Festival | Maywood Memorial Park, Maywood

October 11th | 12PM–5PM

Maywood’s festival will include traditional attractions and  “Maywood Green Fair” exhibition designed to encourage energy conservation and healthy transportation methods such as walking, biking, and carpooling. There will also be an “Art in the Park” exhibit that allows local artists to showcase their work.

Norwood Day | Kennedy Field, Norwood

September 27th | 1PM–6PM

Norwood Day is an  event designed to bring the community together for great music, fun, food and laughter. This fair will run throughout the afternoon to early evening regardless of expected weather conditions. Rides, a petting zoo, food trucks, pony rides, and pumpkin slingshot games will be among the featured activities. The rock party band The Fabulous Greaseband will also be headlining their live music set at 1:30PM.

Park Ridge Oktoberfest | Park Ridge Elks Lodge, Park Ridge

September 28th | 4PM–9PM
Rain Date | September 29th, 1PM–6PM

An event sponsored by Park Ridge Recreation + Cultural Committee and Park Ridge Elks Lodge, this fair will include live music, food and beverages, balloon animals, face painting, and more family-friendly activities. All proceeds will go to both veterans and children with special needs.

Ringwood Borough Rocktoberfest | 130 Skyline Drive, Ringwood

October 4th | 1PM–6PM

Ringwood’s Rocktoberfest event will be centered around live music, with New Jersey-based artist Bob Nicholson and cover band Flounder headlining the festivities. Four food vendors will be on site: Dairy Queen, Raku, Skyline Pizza, and Subway. There will also be face painting and a pumpkin patch for family-friendly activities, as well as a beer truck + ATV raffle for adults. Tenafly Fall Fest | Huyler Park, Tenafly

October 19th | 12PM–5PM

Hosted by the Borough of Tenafly, the Tenafly Chamber of Commerce, and Main Street Pops, this event will be celebrating its third edition at Huyler Park. Visitors can expect live music and dance performances, art activities, a costume contest, food trucks, a live football TV truck display, and more. Among the costume contest categories are Best Group, Most Original, and Best DIY Costumes. More information on the event can be found here.
