Lefkes Is Returning

Lefkes’ return comes about four months after a fire destroyed the restaurant’s former location on Sylvan Avenue in Englewood Cliffs on June 11th. No injuries were reported in the fire, but the building was considered a total loss. Now, owner Georgia Dumas is partnering with restaurateur Alexander Duran to bring the Lefkes concept to Fort Lee.

What to Expect at Lefkes at The Modern

The two-story space has been reimagined with Mediterranean-inspired details, including white accents, new murals, lighting, furniture, and other updates designed to give the restaurant a Greek island feel. Food-wise, locals can expect many of the elements that made the original restaurant popular. The menu will focus on modern Greek cuisine.  The restaurant will also bring back Lefkes’ nightlife component. After dinner, the space will transition into late-night parties with DJs and entertainment inspired by Mykonos. Wine dinners, special programming, private events, and corporate and family gatherings are also planned.

For Fort Lee locals, the new location also puts the restaurant just minutes from the George Washington Bridge, making it a convenient new option for dinner, drinks, brunch, and late nights in the area.

Hours + Details

Lefkes at The Modern will be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner. Current hours are Sunday through Wednesday from 11:30AM to 10PM and Thursday through Saturday from 11:30AM to 2AM. The grand opening is scheduled for Friday, October 9th.
