The owners decided to open this location because they could not find any xiao long bao (broth-filled soup dumplings) that they considered to be excellent. For first timers: when you first sit down, they will give you a paper to write down exactly what you want and how many orders of each item. This makes it really easy to decide what you want, and the menu explains everything in detail about what you are ordering. A menu like this can be a little overwhelming at first, especially if you are not familiar with this style of Chinese cuisine, but the ordering process makes it simple.

The service is quick and efficient, making this a pleasant experience from beginning to end. They have the service down like a science since they know people are waiting out the door. The Local Girl had the steamed pork dumplings, which come with six dumplings. The pan-fried pork buns come with four, and the vegetable buns with mushrooms come with two. On the menu, it tells you how many come with each order, and this made it super easy to decide on how many orders to get. The dumplings are a great choice for sharing, so this is also a fun place to visit with friends or family and try several different dishes together.
