RHONJ‘s Melissa Gorga Sprinkle Cookies Just Debuted in Select New Jersey Shoprites

A Real Housewives of New Jersey moment that lives rent-free in our (read: Bravo fans) heads is coming full circle. For more than a decade, the sprinkle cookie episode has has officially made its way to New Jersey grocery store shelves. Melissa Gorga’s iconic sprinkle cookies, yes, *those* sprinkle cookies, are now being sold at select ShopRite locations, turning one of the franchise’s most meme-able feuds into a real-life baked-good success story. On the heels of Bravocon and pre-holiday season, it’s the New Jersey holiday treat that honestly makes the most sense to us thus far.

If you watched Season 3 of RHONJ, you already know the lore. Melissa brought sprinkle cookies to a family gathering; Teresa Giudice, in one of the most quotable confessionals in Bravo history, declared she “threw them in the garbage.” Cue the memes, the GIFs, the sprinkle cookie references galore, becoming a pop-culture moment that has transcended the show, and now is coming to life in New Jersey.

More than 10 years later, Melissa did what any business-minded Housewife would do: she turned the infamous cookie sitch and SIL feud into a full-blown brand. In late 2024, she launched Let’s Sprinkle by MG, debuting with Italian-style butter cookies covered in rainbow sprinkles, essentially the nostalgic bakery cookie. The launch went viral and the brand reportedly brought in nearly $500,000 in its first three months. The line quickly grew to include coffee cake, seasonal baked goods, and merch ranging from mugs to oven mitts.

Now, the brand has gone from online attention to supermarket shelves. Melissa recently announced that Let’s Sprinkle by MG is officially being carried at Inserra ShopRite stores, including Hoboken, Ramsey, and Wyckoff, with more locations expected as the rollout expands.

This isn’t the first time Melissa has used the retail scene in New Jersey to build her brand. She opened her fashion boutique, Envy by Melissa Gorga, in Montclair in 2016, and the shop quickly became part of her RHONJ storyline, with fans often visiting the storefront on Bloomfield Avenue to see the pieces featured on the show. After several years in Montclair, Melissa expanded and ultimately relocated the business to Ridgewood, opening a larger, more modern storefront in early 2022.

Several other Housewives have ventured into the food space over the years, so Melissa’s cookie launch lands within a broader trend of Bravo stars turning culinary moments into business ideas. In the RHONJ world alone, Kathy Wakile previously sold cannoli kits and dessert mixes, while Teresa Giudice’s Italian cookbooks featured classic cookie and pastry recipes that became fan favorites. Outside New Jersey, Bethenny Frankel created one of the franchise’s biggest food-and-beverage successes with Skinnygirl margaritas and snack products; Kandi Burruss has dessert offerings through her Old Lady Gang restaurants; and Lisa Vanderpump has released wines paired with branded macarons and sweets during promotions. So while Melissa’s sprinkle cookies have their own Bravo backstory, she’s far from the only Housewife who’s tried to turn fandom — and food — into a consumer brand.

Regardless, whether you’re a longtime RHONJ fan, Team Melissa, or just someone who loves a good Jersey-born success story (or sprinkle cookies), seeing these cookies in ShopRite feels like a full-circle moment. A decade ago, they were thrown in the garbage (allegedly). Now, they’re in the grocery aisle. Sorry TRE!
