Asbury Park is a vibrant haven for food enthusiasts, tchotchke collectors, fashionistas, music lovers, and antiquers. The Asbury Fresh Farmers and Makers Market — a popular, weekly hub where farmers, artisans, and foodies come together to sell eclectic goods — will make its grand return to downtown Asbury Park this spring. Every Sunday from May to October, Asbury Fresh will host a plethora of vendors in Press Plaza on Emory Street between Cookman and Lake Avenues from 9 AM to 1PM. The new location is just steps away from the shops and restaurants on Cookman Avenue and lands at the Western Footbridge into Ocean Grove next to Asbury Park Distilling and the Asbury Park Festhalle + Biergarten. In 2023, The Asbury Fresh Farmers and Makers Market took place at Library Park on the corner of Asbury Avenue and Grand Avenue. The market had previously taken place at Kennedy Park, but Asbury Fresh relocated while the City of Asbury Park worked on the site. The new location at Press Plaza brings the Asbury Fresh Market back to the south end of Asbury Park, hugging Wesley Lake.

Asbury Fresh Farmers and Makers Market is a weekly favorite for locals and visitors of Asbury Park. Since 2012, Fresh markets have been popping up throughout Monmouth and Ocean County year-round. Vendors include — but are not limited to — farmers, food purveyors, makers, photographers, vintage and collectible sellers, illustrators, and candle makers. Vendors showcase artisan crafts as well as local business offerings, empowering micro-entrepreneurship and small businesses while fostering vibrant and sustainable communities.

Fresh Markets’ mission is to “enliven and enrich local communities through pop-up shopping experiences”. The markets serve local communities through year-round farmers and makers markets, pop-up shopping experiences, and other unique events. The experiences are geared towards connecting makers, food vendors, farms, and start-up businesses with new customers.
