Carli Clesmere One of Asbury Park’s favorite music-filled traditions is celebrating a major milestone this fall. The 10th Annual Asbury Park Porchfest will take place on Saturday, September 26th, 2026, bringing more than 100 local musicians to porches throughout the city. The rain date is Sunday, September 27th. The free community event combines live music, neighborhood gatherings, and support for local charities. Attendees can spend the day walking, biking, or scooting around Asbury Park while catching performances ranging from rock and Americana to blues, pop, punk, and more. About Asbury Park Porchfest
Asbury Park Porchfest is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has hosted a free day of live music in the city since 2018. Instead of taking place inside traditional concert venues, musicians perform from residents’ porches throughout Asbury Park.

Musicians, organizers, homeowners, businesses, and event-day helpers all contribute to making the annual festival happen. Admission remains free, giving attendees the chance to discover local performers while spending the day exploring different Asbury Park neighborhoods.
The 2026 Event
The 10th Annual Asbury Park Porchfest will take place on Saturday, September 26th, 2026. A rain date is scheduled for Sunday, September 27th. Performances will be hosted on porches around Asbury Park, with more than 100 local musicians expected to participate. Each porch will feature its own schedule, allowing attendees to move throughout the city and create a personalized lineup for the day. The official 2026 porch map and performance schedule will be released in September.

The Porchfest lineup includes solo artists, duos, and full bands representing a wide range of musical styles.
Musicians currently listed for the event include Allie Kenny, Andréa Ceresa, Autumn Elizabeth, Bobby Mahoney, Brett Heitmiller, Dark City Strings, Great Oblivion, Johnny Nameless, La Stella Brothers, LavenderBlu, Paul Whistler, Peter Veteska + Blues Train, Renee Maskin, The Afraid Brigade, The Cucumbers, The Dirty Shine, The Slow Circuit, The Soulstirs, and more.
The lineup covers genres including rock, folk, Americana, country, blues, punk, pop, indie, electronic, bluegrass, funk, soul, jazz, and acoustic music.

Supporting the Asbury Park Community
Live music is at the center of Porchfest, but the event’s charitable mission is equally important. The nonprofit uses the annual festival to raise money and awareness for organizations serving the Asbury Park community. Through donations, sponsorships, and community support, AP Porchfest has raised more than $50,000 for local charities since the event began.

Local businesses and residents can also support the event by becoming sponsors, hosting performances, volunteering, or making a donation. Volunteers are needed to assist with event-day logistics throughout the city.
JSG’s Tips for a Successful Porchfest
Performances will take place throughout Asbury Park, with participating porches located everywhere from uptown to downtown. A little planning can help attendees fit in as many performances as possible during the day.
- Bring or rent a bike or scooter. Walking between porches is doable, but using a bike or scooter makes it easier to travel across town and catch more acts. Bikes are available to rent from AP Cyclery, while e-scooters can be rented through the Veo app.
- Pack the essentials. Bring a folding chair for settling in on a lawn, a reusable water bottle, sunscreen, and an umbrella or light rain jacket in case the weather changes.
- Support local businesses. Porchfest is also a good opportunity to grab food and drinks from Asbury Park businesses between performances. Frank’s Deli and The Speakeatery are two convenient options for grab-and-go food. Some participating porches may also host food trucks, which will be marked on the official map.
- Plan bathroom breaks. Since performances take place at private homes, restrooms may not be available at every stop. Plan to visit a local restaurant, coffee shop, or other public location during the day.
- Create an itinerary ahead of time. Once the schedule is released, send it to the group chat and choose the must-see performers for everyone in the crew. Leave a little flexibility in the plan, too — part of the fun is discovering a new band while walking between porches.
- Be respectful of the neighborhood. Performances take place at residents’ homes, so attendees should clean up after themselves, avoid blocking sidewalks or driveways, and follow any instructions posted by porch hosts.
