About Sweet Virginia

Design director and architect Robert Feinstein and his wife Anne run the Sweet Virginia Airbnb together. From design details to check-in duties, the husband and wife duo provides the ultimate large gathering getaway home. With safety features like outdoor security cameras to rooms garnished with new, eclectic decor and high-end appliances installed (including an in-home washer and dryer unit), they have perfected every inch of the early 1900s Victorian home. Sweet Virginia’s aesthetic can be described as Betsey Johnson meets Sophia Loren.

“Design-wise, we started thinking about Sweet Virginia as your Italian, eccentric, really cool grandma,” Feinstein shared with The Asbury Girl. “My friend’s grandma became the persona and muse of the house. Still to this day, she is 90 years old, dresses impeccably every day with very funky patterns on her pants, and her hair is always done. She always looks the part. That became how we made every decision for tiles, colors, and cabinetry. Bold prints, bold colors but muted at the same time.”

The house has surprising but tasteful, elements such as an autographed Joywave tour poster hanging in the dining room, old speakers converted into nightstands, and a wallpaper featuring monkeys holding alcohol bottles and smoking joints.

Bedrooms + Bathrooms

With 5 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, Sweet Virginia is incredibly spacious. The house has three floors, with two bedrooms and one bathroom on the second floor, and two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the third floor. The bottom floor has a half bath and a large, open-concept living room, dining room, and kitchen situation. The dining room table seats ten people and the kitchen island has five bar stool seats. The patio also has a dining table that seats ten people, in case guests want to grill and BBQ outside on a warm summer night.

Time for some real talk: group trips typically involve someone drawing the short straw on the bedroom choices and ending up with an air mattress or sofa. Here, there will be plenty of room and guests will never feel on top of each other. All of the bedrooms have king or queen beds as well as ample closet space and dressers. Cotton bed linens, extra pillows and blankets, and room-darkening shades are available for each bedroom.

The three upstairs bathrooms have showers (two with rainfall shower heads) and are equipped with high-tech, motion-activated, voice-enabled mirrors that can adjust the lighting settings from cool to warm. In the bathrooms, you will find shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and cleaning products — one less thing to pack and travel with.

Amenities

Guests don’t need to bring much for their stay at Sweet Virginia. The Airbnb comes equipped with all new appliances, furniture, and amenities.

A washer and dryer can be found on the third floor — with laundry detergent included, for last-minute loads.

The dining area is built ready to host a large group for every meal of the day. The Airbnb comes with a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, dishes and silverware (bowls, mugs, plates, cups, wine glasses, etc.), pots and pans, oil, salt and pepper, a dishwasher, gas stove and stainless steel oven, hot water kettle, coffee maker, toaster, blender and barbecue utensils for the outdoor grill (charcoal, bamboo skewers/iron skewers, etc.) The downstairs cocktail bar is set up with a mini beverage refrigerator, craft cocktail glasses, and shakers. BYO groceries, beverages, and alcohol, though.

The private patio has an outdoor dining area, a BBQ grill, two sun loungers, and string lights.

Parking

Sweet Virginia does not come with parking. Paid street parking, off-premises, is available from 8AM to 11PM daily (subject to change.) You can pay for parking through the street meters or on the ParkMobile app — which will alert you when you need to add more time to your meter. You can also park your car in the Hard Rock casino parking garage as well as neighboring lots or other casino garages, rates will vary by day.

Things To Do In The Area

The location of Sweet Virginia is one of the most important aspects of the Airbnb. As soon as guests step out of the front door, they can see the Hard Rock. The Airbnb is steps away from the casino’s property and only two blocks away from the beach entrances.

Atlantic City is known for its casinos, nightlife, and entertainment options. It has a diverse culinary scene with a variety of restaurants, ranging from casual eateries, like White House Sub Shop, to upscale dining establishments, like Nobu, located inside of Caesars.

The city has tons of nightlife options, including bars, clubs, and live music venues. Plan your trip accordingly and the crew may hit music festivals, such as Tidal Wave and Adjacent, which take place right on the Atlantic City beach.
