The Old Town Fairfax Business Association (OTFBA) has announced the 6th Annual Asian Festival on Main. The free, family-friendly event will be held Sunday, May 17, 2026 at 3999 University Drive, Fairfax, in the heart of Old Town Fairfax. This year’s festival will celebrate the Year of the Horse. Asian Festival on Main
The Asian Festival on Main was created by the OTFBA in 2021 to bring people together and highlight cultural diversity through food and entertainment. This fun, free, family-friendly event takes place in the heart of Old Town and features a full lineup of live entertainment and cultural performances, 60+ Asian food vendors and food trucks, 60+ non-food vendors and exhibitions, kids’ activities, cosplay runway, beer garden, and karaoke. A new addition this year is the Otaku Garden, dedicated to Japanese pop culture, including a cosplay runway, Panel Discussion on Asian Food Culture, and an Asian Cultures Showcase featuring hands-on activities for all ages.

AFM is a non-profit festival dedicated to staying free and accessible for everyone. “Asian Festival on Main has become one of our community’s most exciting celebrations, bringing people together to experience the food, performances, and traditions of Asian cultures,” said Jinson Chan, Co-Chair. “We’re grateful for the incredible support from the City of Fairfax, our sponsors, local businesses, and volunteers who help make this festival possible each year in Old Town Fairfax.”
This annual event celebrates Asian American Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month in May, along with the City of Fairfax, which is an integral partner of Asian Festival on Main. A special proclamation ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 12th at the City Council Meeting at 7PM at Fairfax City Hall located at 10455 Armstrong Street.

The Asian Festival on Main will take place on Sunday May 17th, from 11AM until 6:00 PM at 3999 University Drive, Fairfax, with presenting sponsor Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races. There are several free parking lots near the event, and a drop-off zone for performers.
AFM is a non-profit festival dedicated to staying free and accessible for everyone. The community is encouraged to become a Friend of AFM with a $50 contribution to support and celebrate the festival. Funds will aid in the development of annual programming, operations, and the guest experience that brings AFM to life for thousands of people in Fairfax.
