Sunday Social: Cyanotype Nets at Tephra Institute of Contemporary Art in Reston

Come make cyanotypes with the Tephra Institute of Contemporary Art!

Inspired by Janet Echelman’s cyanotypes, which use digital 3D models of her monumental net sculptures, this hands-on workshop invites you to explore a photographic process that creates striking blue-and-white prints. Arrange string to create your own net-inspired design, or use ready-to-use photographic images of Echelman’s sculptures to create your own cyanotype print.

This is a drop-in workshop, so stop by anytime between 1:00 and 3:00 PM. No prior experience is needed!
