Rising alt-pop breakout SOMBR is bringing his viral, genre-blending sound to Washington, DC. The singer-songwriter has quickly emerged as one of Gen Z’s most compelling new voices, blending indie rock, alternative pop, and raw, confessional songwriting.
His meteoric rise has been fueled by global hits like “Back to Friends” and “Undressed,” both of which cracked the Billboard Hot 100 and Global 200 while charting in the top 10 internationally. The success of those tracks propelled his 2025 debut album I Barely Know Her into the Billboard 200 top 10 and solidified his status as a streaming-era breakout.
Sombr’s momentum has translated to major industry recognition, including a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and a win for Best Alternative Video at the MTV Video Music Awards for “Back to Friends.” He’s also delivered standout performances on some of music’s biggest stages, including the VMAs and the 2026 Grammy Awards, where he performed his hit “12 to 12.”
Known for his emotionally charged live shows and rapidly growing fanbase, Sombr’s DC stop is set to showcase one of the fastest-rising artists in modern alternative music.
