Get ready for a festive and exhilarating experience at the inaugural Eagle 5000 Turkey Trot, taking place on Saturday, November 21st, 2026, in Alexandria, Fairfax! This unique twist on the traditional Thanksgiving turkey trot invites participants to run a full 5K on the track at Thomas Edison High School. Runners will compete in heats based on their predicted finishing times, ensuring a fun and competitive atmosphere for all skill levels.
Head out to this exciting in-person event, rain or shine, as the community is united to support the Thomas Edison Cross Country and Track and Field programs. Don’t forget to gather your family and friends to share in this spirited celebration of health and camaraderie. With awards for the top three male and female finishers in each heat, there’s plenty of motivation to lace up those running shoes! Be sure to arrive early for parking, as spaces are limited.
