Chuseok is Korea’s harvest thanksgiving — a day for family, gratitude, and coming home. In October 2025, Jersey City made history with one of the first official Korean Chuseok Festivals ever held inside a U.S. city government building: a plaza alive with hanbok, music, and Korean food, and a ceremony in the Council Chambers where the Mayor read a proclamation and six Korean-American leaders received City Certificates of Honor.
