Bring a CANned food item and join the 5th annual CAN the Bird 5K Turkey Trot, presented by Jefferson Funeral Chapel, on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 8:00 – 9:00 AM. The race will begin and end in the Walmart parking lot.
All ages can enjoy a run, walk or stroll around Kingstowne and its scenic lake.
Registrants will receive a commemorative race t-shirt and swag/deals from the race’s sponsors.
Donations of nonperishable food items will be accepted for The Koinonia Foundation. The organizers are thankful to have food to share.
This community race combines fitness and giving back by serving as a food drive for local food banks. The course loops around the scenic Kingstowne neighborhood lake, and runners can join the fun with their four-legged friends through the “Doggie Duo” category, celebrating those who cross the finish line with their dogs.
