The parade will be held on Saturday, October 17, and will begin promptly at 2:00 PM at the rear of Patrick Henry Elementary School. Participants will walk from Patrick Henry K-8 School to James K Polk Elementary School via Polk Avenue, then return to the field at the front of the school, where the Halloween costume contest winners will be announced.
The West End Business Association will provide judges to select the winners and will award gift cards to local businesses.
Everyone is encouraged to come out, join the fun, and don your best Halloween costume! Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:
- Best Overall Costume
- Best Family Costume
- Best Pet Costume
Everyone in the community is encouraged to participate and help make this a fun-filled afternoon for families, children, and neighbors.
After the parade, the celebration will continue with the Spooky Mad Science Expo, one of the year’s most exciting STEAM events! The expo will give children and families a chance to explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics through fun, hands-on activities.
Come dressed in your favorite Halloween costume, bring your family and friends, and join Alexandria for an afternoon filled with Halloween fun, community spirit, and science!
The parade will kick off promptly at 2:00 PM. See you there!
