The Strides for Safety 5k is the rallying point in Hudson County to raise awareness about what is being done to end gun violence and provide an opportunity for everyone to get involved. More than a single event, the Strides for Safety race is a dynamic platform to support and celebrate community organizations working to build peace and bring out the best of our city.
At this event, we are inviting our Hudson County community to run (or walk) to raise awareness and end gun violence here on our home front and across the U.S.
A USATF-Certified 5k course will once again showcase our beautiful Lincoln Park in Jersey City! Walkers go out immediately after the start of the race. Following the race, we will host runners/walkers and their families at the After Party BBQ, which will include an awards ceremony for our runners, musical entertainment, family activities, local safety community organizations, and health-focused vendors offering yoga classes, smoothies, massages, and more. Your ticket purchase/registration includes a T-shirt, a bib number, a light breakfast, refreshments, BBQ lunch and entertainment!
