The McLean Art Gallery presents “America at 250,” a new topical exhibition from the nonprofit McLean Art Society celebrating the country’s milestone birthday. On view July 1–August 2, 2026, America at 250 invites artists to reflect on the American experience, its history, landscapes, people, ideals, and evolving stories, as the nation approaches its 250th anniversary. Through diverse artistic perspectives, this exhibition explores what America has been, what it is today, and what it may become.
Alongside this special exhibition, the gallery will feature many original works by local artists exploring a wide variety of themes and subjects. Visitors can enjoy artwork in oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, and mixed media, as well as drawing, photography, sculpture, and works in wood, glass, ceramics, and jewelry.
Since its inception in September 2025 as a pop-up art space, the McLean Art Gallery has established itself as a vital part of the McLean arts community — showcasing local art, offering classes and workshops, and hosting special events.
