This viral head spa is making its way to Bergen County this summer. Aura Head Spa is the first head spa to launch in New Jersey, with its first location opening in Bloomfield before relocating to 28 South Fullerton Avenue in Montclair in 2024. The Japanese-style spa, which gained a lot of popularity on social media quickly, is a deeply sensorial experience that prioritizes wellness, rejuvenation, and luxury. Between the aromas, ambient music, lighting, and massage techniques, the goal is to relieve stress and promote healthy scalps, hair growth, and cleanliness. The new Ridgewood location was first announced in January of this year, with plans to open this summer.

Oradell Animal Hospital

Meltemi is a new Greek restaurant on Ridgewood Avenue serving up traditional Greek fare. The BYOB spot opened earlier this year and feels like an escape to the Mediterranean, right here in Bergen County. The walls are adorned with bougainvillea flowers, Greek landscapes, and coastal accents in a bright white space. The food here is nothing short of IG-worthy, and has been a hit among locals since opening. The menu consists of traditional Greek spreads like tzatziki and revithosalata (chickpea), meze, pita sandwiches, platters, salads, fish entrees, and more — a few highlights include the Aegean Shrimp Pasta (pictured above), gyro platter, grilled vegetable pita, grilled haloumi, and spanakopita (spinach pie), among other dishes. BG pro tip: if you’re looking for a caffeine boost, try out Meltemi’s homemade frappes.

Tacoria is well-known throughout New Jersey — with stores in Edgewater, Hoboken, Jersey City, Marlton, Montclair, Morristown, New Brunswick, Paramus, Piscataway, and Princeton. The Ridgewood location, which opened earlier this month, marks its 11th in the Garden State. The Mexican restaurant serves several types of hand-crafted tacos, including carne asada, al pastor, spicy pulled chicken, and Brussels sprouts. There’s also a selection of burritos, quesadillas, bowls, salads, nachos, (including Nutella nachos), and small bites including Mexican street corn, fried avocado, and chips with guacamole or pico de gallo. BG pro tip: order an auga fresca to go with your meal, which comes in various flavors.
