The Lakes at Darlington County Park MDW Opening | 600 Darlington Avenue, Mahwah
Friday. May 22 – Monday, May 25
The Lakes at Darlington County Park is a popular inflatable obstacle swimming course located in Mahwah. The water park has officially announced it will be open for MDW, which is a great time to enjoy some outside activities + bring along your little one.
Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition | One Garden State Plaza Parkway, Paramus
Friday. May 22 – Monday, May 25
This exhibit features life-size reproductions of the Sistine Chapel and art by Michelangelo. Tickets can be purchased here. (FYI: If you can’t make it this MDW, it is open until July 5th)

L.E.A.D. Fest Carnival | 5 South Main Street, Allentown
Friday. May 22 – Monday, May 25
Hosted by Law Enforcement Against Drugs & Violence (L.E.A.D.), this annual event will run through all of Memorial Day Weekend and feature food, games, rides, and more.
Nature Photography Show at the Haworth Library | 165 Stevens Place, Haworth
Friday. May 22 – Monday, May 25
This free exhibit is open to the public through MDW. It is by Cynthia Soroka-Dunn, a local Haworth resident who photographs natural scenes.
Weekly Friday Jazz Nights | 565 Gorge Road, Cliffside Park
Friday. May 22 | 7:30 PM – 10:30 PM
Rustica Lounge in Cliffside Park hosts weekly Friday Jazz Nights, including this MDW. Visitors can enjoy a live performance by jazz artist Alan Chaubert.
Zumba Day | 2 North Washington Avenue, Bergenfield
Saturday, May 23 | 9:30 PM – 10:30 PM
Bergenfield’s Latin Dance House hosts Zumba classes every Saturday, and will be hosting a “Zumba Day” event for Memorial Day Weekend. Tickets are $10 and can be paid on-site.
Ramsey Farmers’ Market | Station Plaza + West Main Street, Ramsey
Sunday, May 24 | 9:00 AM
The Ramsey Farmers’ Market takes place every Sunday at 9:00 AM. Visitors can check out various local vendors for items such as produce and baked goods. BG pro tip: If you’re a pet owner, your dog is welcome as long as it is leashed and kept away from food vendors.
Pickleball Clinic | 150 East Palisade Avenue, Englewood
Sunday, May 24 | 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
For those looking for an active MDW, a “Pickleball Clinic” event will be hosted on Sunday, May 24th, at the Elmore Hall in Englewood. There will be pickleball lessons from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, and free play from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
The Ridgewood Run Memorial Mile | 156-158 Northern Parkway, Ridgewood
Monday, May 25 | 7:55 AM
This annual running event features multiple challenges, including a 10K, 5K, The Ridgewood Run Memorial Mile, or Kids’ Fun Run. The event will be held at Veterans Memorial Field.
Fort Lee Memorial Day Parade | 1355 Inwood Terrace, Fort Lee
Monday, May 25 | 10:00 AM
Fort Lee’s annual Memorial Day Parade will start at the Jack Alter Fort Lee Community Center and proceed through the city. Visitors can enjoy a ceremony, live music, and refreshments. For information on the parade route, visit here.
Cedar Lane Family Festival | Elm Avenue + American Legion Drive, Teaneck

The Cedar Lane Family Festival is an event hosted to celebrate Memorial Day, with over 100 exhibitors, a food fair, a children’s activity zone, and live music.
Wyckoff Memorial Day Parade, Ceremony + Celebration | Corner of Russell + Wyckoff Avenues, Wyckoff
Monday, May 25 | 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM
The Wyckoff Memorial Day Parade will start at the corner of Russell + Wyckoff Avenues and feature a Chamber float in celebration of the holiday.
