All About Cafe Angelique
People have long considered Café Angelique Tenafly’s go-to gathering place. Located right in the heart of town, this café is located in a former train station, an eye-catching landmark for both first-time visitors and those who frequent Tenafly’s streets. Stepping inside feels like entering a quaint European escape, with the décor and the rich aroma of fresh pastries and coffee filling the air.

At the front, a small counter area provides customers with quick service for coffee, tea, and freshly baked treats. Just beyond, a cozy dining space awaits, which is bright, airy, and full of character. The atmosphere is a great meeting place for friends and families alike.
Café Angelique becomes especially popular in the summer when diners can enjoy meals outside under a large white tent set up in the back lot. This outdoor setup was introduced during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic but quickly became a local favorite and has remained a staple ever since.
The Menu
The menu at Café Angelique is full of favorites, with breakfast served all day — think omelets, waffles, and one of the most popular picks: the shakshuka. This dish features eggs simmered in a mildly spicy homemade tomato and pepper stew, served with warm pita bread, and often enjoyed with a sprinkle of feta. Beyond breakfast, the menu includes shareable appetizers, soups, fresh salads, sandwiches, and wraps. For those on the move, smoothies are available too.

Right Outside the Café: Local Life + Events
Just beside the café is a patch of greenery that serves as a hub for community events throughout the year. During the summer months, this space comes alive with a series of outdoor concerts. Every Tuesday and Thursday evening in July and through early August, starting at 7PM, there are performances. The concerts take place opposite Café Angelique.
