Ahh, yes, the snow on the lawns had finally started to melt, driveways were almost clear, and we were so close to believing winter was winding down. But don’t pack away the shovels just yet, it looks like those flakes may be coming back for a repeat performance. Forecasters are calling for the possibility of another snow event this weekend, February 22nd, 2026. So it may be worth keeping an eye on the forecast and maybe holding off on that early spring optimism for just a little bit longer. Read on for more about the possibility of more snow in Bergen County.
As of Friday, February 20th, forecasters are tracking another system that could impact the area this weekend. According to the National Weather Service forecast for Bergen County, there is a 70% chance of accumulating snow on Sunday, with snowfall expected to continue through Sunday night and 1–3 inches possible. Monday currently shows a 30% chance of snow before 1PM. While details may shift, it’s worth keeping an eye on the forecast as the weekend approaches.
This wouldn’t be the first significant weather event Bergen County has seen this season — Winter Storm Fern already blanketed the area with several inches of snow earlier this winter.
