More Information: The annual ceremony is held rain or shine and honors those who perished on September 11, 2001. The ceremony includes a 40-ton 9/11-themed sand sculpture, a three-volley rifle salute by VFW Post 9462, a three-round Civil War cannon volley by Last Salute and a memorial flag presentation. The Sandpipers Pipes and Drums of Atlantic County also participate in the ceremony.

The Wildwood Fire Department will also conduct the “Ringing of the Bell,” while the City of Wildwood Honor Guard will present the colors.

More Information: The City of Hoboken will partner with the Hoboken Italian Festival and Hoboken Clergy Coalition to honor the 56 Hoboken residents who were lost on September 11, 2001. The ceremony will also highlight the work of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation and feature speakers from the organization. This year’s service will take place at the eastern end of Pier A Park, overlooking the Manhattan skyline and World Trade Center site, which is a different location than in recent years.
