For panoramic picturesque views, great food, and cocktails, check out The Rum Runner. This riverfront establishment has indoor and outdoor seating, both upstairs and at the water level. If you’re on the hunt for an event venue the team here is great and the setting is beautiful. But, if you’re just popping through for lunch, grab a lobster roll and some rosé and enjoy the fresh air.

Anjelica’s | 1070 Ocean Avenue
Anjelica’s is often touted as the best Italian food down the shore, don’t believe us? Ask Oscar-winner Amy Adams who has been spotted dining at the buzzy establishment. It’s BYOB and offers a fresh take on Southern Italian cuisine and seafood. If you can’t get in for dinner, check out their sandwiches and street food at the Paninoteca stand-out front.
2nd Jetty | 140 Ocean Avenue
2nd Jetty is the place where seafood dreams come true. The menu consists almost entirely of fresh, locally sourced fish and is the perfect place to take a crowd. Split one of the party platters and post up for the evening. 2nd Jetty also has catering options that make party planning and the upcoming holidays easy and delicious.

Twin Lights State Historic Site | 2 Light House Road, Highlands

If you’ve ever driven south on 36 you’ve probably noticed something that looks like a castle on a hill to your right, that’s Twin Lights State Historic Site. Built in 1746, the site was originally used as a warning beacon to notify New York City of French warships on the horizon and has worn many hats in its long tenure and expansion in the Highlands. You can visit the National Landmark to see the lighthouse, climb the two towers, visit the museum, and take in the panoramic views of New York City.
