Ice Carving Competition Happening at Pier Village on 1/17

Pier Village is about to get a frosty makeover as the 2026 Ice Carving Competition brings live artistry to the Long Branch boardwalk. Set against sweeping ocean views, talented sculptors will transform massive blocks of ice into intricate works of art in real time, giving visitors a front-row seat to the creative process. The event — taking place at The Blue Wave at 110 Ocean Avenue — promises a festive cold-weather experience at the Jersey Shore, blending seaside charm with a unique display of skill, creativity, and winter fun. Event Details

The Pier Village Ice Carving Competition will return for 2026 on Saturday, January 17th. The event will kick off at 12PM at The Blue Wave, behind Wave Resort, at the Pier Village in Long Branch. The free, family-friendly event blends jaw-dropping artistry with a festive atmosphere. The finished sculptures will stay on display through Sunday, weather permitting. What To Expect

Beyond the competition, visitors can make a day of it by shopping Pier Village’s boutiques and shops, grabbing a cozy meal or sweet treat at one of the restaurants or cafes, enjoying bowling and arcade games, or warming up around the oceanfront firepits with hot cocoa.
