As summer begins to wind down, many of us are starting to reflect on what the past few months have looked like. Whether that be a life-changing vacation, lazy beach days at the Jersey Shore, or even the start of an exciting new relationship, we all have moments and memories to look back on. While some might be able to easily leave the warmer months behind, others may crave a sense of deeper introspection. If this sounds like you, The Asbury’s Full Moon Party might be just what you need. Read on for more about this seasonal celebration in Asbury Park, New Jersey.
What To Expect At The Party
In astrology, the Full Moon is considered a powerful time to let go of what is no longer needed in our lives in order to make space for what we truly desire. At The Asbury Hotel’s Full Moon Party, you can begin doing just that while spending a peaceful evening under the stars.
The party will take place around the hotel’s outdoor heated pool on Saturday, September 26th, 2026, from 7PM to 10PM. The event is hosted by psychic and tarot reader Sarah Potter, who will guide you through a meditation intended to help gain clarity, release what needs to be left behind and invite feelings of gratitude.

“Each ticket includes entry to the main ceremony: a guided meditation, a spell we cast together as a group, and a beautiful collective moment of intention setting by the pool,” Sarah told The Jersey Shore Girl. “It’s part ritual, part celebration, designed to leave you feeling connected, clear, and radiant.”
The event will also include musical accompaniment, cocktails, mocktails, specialty vendors, and the option to go night swimming.
The Meaning Behind September’s Moon
September’s Full Moon is the 2026 Harvest Moon, the name given to the Full Moon occurring closest to the autumnal equinox. September’s Full Moon has also been associated with names tied to the harvest season, including the Corn Moon in some Indigenous traditions. Moon names vary among different cultures and Indigenous nations.

Sarah has also spoken about incorporating ritual into Asbury Park’s annual Sea.Hear.Now music festival. “Every year, I also bless the grounds and stages at Sea Hear Now, setting good intentions and weaving protective, uplifting energy into the space so that everyone who attends can feel the magic,” she said . “It’s one of my favorite traditions and a reminder of how sacred community gatherings can be.”
Sarah is also the author of Sober Magic: Using the Tarot and Ritual in Your Journey Away from Drinking, which was released in December 2025 and ties together her experiences with sobriety, tarot, ritual, and spiritual practices.
“For those attending the Full Moon party, the most important thing to know is that you don’t need to bring anything but yourself,” Sarah said. “The ceremony is crafted to be accessible to everyone, whether you’ve been practicing magic for years or are experiencing ritual for the very first time. Come with an open heart, wear something you feel magical in, and be ready to connect — not just with your own intentions, but with a whole community of people celebrating under the moonlight.”
