2026 Asbury Park St. Patrick’s Day Parade: Date, Route + Events Guide

Bag pipers, dancers, marching bands, and local businesses are warming up for the annual Asbury Park St. Patrick’s Day parade. It’s happening on Sunday, March 8th, and the Jersey Shore is already prepping for a big weekend of celebrating Irish heritage. Consider this your reminder to stock up on green (and Guinness) now so you’re ready for all the parade festivities leading up to St. Patrick’s Day. Here’s what to know about the 2026 Asbury Park St. Patrick’s Day Parade and all the events leading up to the parade.

The Asbury Park St. Patrick’s Day Parade

On Sunday, March 8th, Asbury Park will turn into a sea of green for the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade. The parade will start at 1PM at the intersection of Ocean Avenue and 4th Avenue, make its way downtown, and end at the corner of Cookman Avenue and Main Street. Spectators can expect to see marching bands, floats, bag pipers, mummers, scouts, dance groups, as well as local government officials, businesses, and charities, according to parade organizers.

Kim Guadagno, a former Lieutenant Governor of New Jersey, will be the 2026 Grand Marshal of the parade. Kim serves as the President and CEO of the Mercy Center in Asbury Park. The Mercy Center is an organization that provides caring services to those in need in the Asbury Park area. Kim also served as the 33rd Secretary of State of New Jersey from 2010 to 2018, and was the Republican nominee for Governor of New Jersey in 2017. She lost in the general election to Democrat Phil Murphy.

There are several events scheduled to build excitement for the parade, as well as local spots hosting Parade Day parties in Asbury Park. If you miss out on Parade Day, there are still some other events happening closer to St. Patrick’s Day down the shore. 

Pre-Parade Festivities

Parade Pre-Game | Asbury Park Brewery

On February 28th, Asbury Park Brewery is hosting a Parade Pre-Game. Families are invited to join in on the fun, with live music, raffles, and other events scheduled. All raffle ticket sales will go to the Asbury Park St. Patrick’s Day Fundraiser. Families are encouraged to bring their kids and friendly dogs.

2026 Grand Marshal Reception | AP Rooftop 

On March 5th, a reception is being held to honor Kim Guadagno, the 2026 Grand Marshal of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The event runs from 6PM to 9PM, and tickets can be purchased online. AP Rooftop at 1200 Ocean Avenue

Parade Day Fun

Asbury Lanes | 209 4th Avenue

Asbury Lanes is hosting a parade after-party, starting at 1PM on March 8th. Brian Kirk & The Jirks will perform their blend of rock, soul, pop, and disco hits. The lanes’ drinks specials and bowling fun are a great way to keep the St. Patrick’s Day Parade energy flowing.  

Johnny Mac Hosue Of Spirits | 208 Main Street, Asbury Park

One of Asbury Park’s favorite pubs is opening early for Parade Day. Johnny Mac House of Spirits posted on Instagram it will be open from 10AM to 2AM to sling drinks, serve free pizza, and of course, spread some Irish cheer.

Post-Parade Events

Shamrock N’ Roll 5K | Asbury Park

For those looking to run off the pints of Guinness from parade day, there’s the Shamrock N’ Roll 5K at the Stony Pony on March 14th. All participants will receive their own leprechaun suit and chip-timed results. Plus, celebrate after the race with a live performance from Brian Kirk + The Jirks at The Stone Pony. A portion of the event proceeds will be donated to Asbury Park’s Rodeo For Recreation, a fund that supports youth summer camps and recreation programs in the city.

The Robinson Ale House | 1200 Ocean Avenue, Asbury Park

On March 17th, The Robinson Ale House will host a St. Patrick’s Day-themed trivia night. It’s free to play and starts at 6PM. Guests can expect some fun swag and giveaways.
