Aqua Show | 1460 Laurelwood Avenue, Lakewood

Aqua Show is a women’s swim and lingerie shop in Lakewood. It’s owned by Raizy Yurowitz, a Water Safety Instructor Trainer, who curates a selection of flattering suits for all women, from sizes x-small to plus size. Aqua Show also has suits for all ages, ranging from children to teens to maternity. For those looking for an athletic suit, Aqua Show recommends its Speedo Fitness and Reebok suits, which feature power net linings, anti-bounce bras, tummy control, and extra-life Lycra fabric, all of which are helpful for a workout.  For competitive swimmers, Aqua Show has its Speedo and Dolfin lines.  Aqua Show even has its Miraclesuits and Magicsuits, which help with slenderizing, making this a solid go-to for any swimsuit need.

Bare Wires Surf Shop |  1307 3rd Avenue, Spring Lake

Bare Wires is a year-round surf shop in Spring Lake. The family-owned store carries a wide range of men’s and women’s swim options. Bare Wires has wetsuits for surfers and those who enjoy braving the colder water. FYI: Bare Wires carries changing ponchos, which make switching out of a suit after a watersport easy at the Jersey Shore, even when there’s no restroom or changing room available.

B + B Department Stores | 704 + 709 Grand Central Avenue, Lavallette; 500 SE Central Avenue, Seaside Park; 827 Ashbury Avenue, Ocean City; 901 Central Avenue, Ship Bottom; + 835 North Bay Avenue, Beach Haven

B+B is a department store with multiple locations in Jersey Shore towns, including Lavallette, Seaside Park, Ocean City, and LBI. No matter the area, it has a vast selection of beach apparel and swimwear for all ages, ranging from newborn to adult. B + B Department Stores has women’s and men’s beachwear featuring popular brands such as Jetty, Roxy, and Billabong. The Beach Nut | 804 Ocean Avenue, Belmar

The Beach Nut is a one-stop shop for beach necessities in Belmar. It has umbrellas, tees, hoodies, beach toys, and, of course, swimwear. It’s conveniently located just steps away from Belmar’s beach, making this a convenient pit stop if you’re looking for a last-minute swimsuit.

Boscov’s | 1201 Hooper Avenue, Toms River

Boscov’s is a family-owned department store chain in Toms River with swim gear for men, women, children + teens. It features a Swim Shop with a variety of options, including one-pieces, skim skirts, shorts, boy-shorts, tankinis, and board shorts, catering to a more conservative style. Boscov’s also has a wide selection of bikinis and plus-size options for all ages, including juniors’ plus line. Boscov’s has swim trunks for men, along with rash guard shirts.

Brave New World Surf + Snow | 61 Oceanport Avenue, Little Silver; 146 Main Street, Manasquan; 1208 Richmond Avenue, Point Pleasant Beach; + 1272 Hooper Avenue, Toms River

Brave New World is a surf + snow shop with four Jersey Shore locations, including storefronts in Little Silver, Manasquan, Point Pleasant Beach, and Toms River. Brave New World started back in 1974 and has remained a staple go-to location for swimwear ever since. It features inventory for men and women from leading surf and lifestyle brands, making it a good location for a coastal-themed suit.

Cameo Water Wear is a women’s swimsuit store with multiple locations in New Jersey. Chris Turk Swim is a new beach clothing store on Asbury Park’s boardwalk. It’s known for its male swimsuit options that give off a bold, body-affirming look. Chris Turk’s swim line is curated to provide customers with pieces that are inclusive of all body types. Its shorts feature a built-in brief designed to provide comfort all day long, and its suit collection celebrates the queer community with fun designs and colors intended to be recognized.

Cub + Bare | 1806 Stratford Avenue, Neptune City

Cub and Bare is a lifestyle brand dedicated to the gay community with a store in Neptune City. Its collection includes everything from swimsuits to towels, tanks, and tees, all good for a beach day. It’s suits, along with its other apparel items and home goods, are fun and lighthearted for a chill day by the water.

East Side Surf Shop | 2701 Boardwalk, Wildwood

East Side is a surf shop with three locations on the Wildwood boardwalk. A mixture of apparel that mixes surf, sport, and style, East Side has everything one needs for a day at the Jersey Shore. East Side has options for both men and women, featuring a well-curated sunglasses collection to complement your suit of choice.

Five 0 Six | 506 Long Beach Boulevard, Surf City

Five 0 Six is a surf boutique in LBI. The swim line at Five 0 Six is called Lokal Swim; it is a woman-owned brand from Florida that is designed as a one-size-fits-all concept. The soft, ribbed material of its suits stretches to fit any body type, ranging from XS to XL, and locals love that its super-soft material is more comfortable than the average suit. Glide Surf Co | 520 Bangs Avenue, Asbury Park

Glide Surf Co is in downtown Asbury Park. For women, there are fun bikinis and surf suits, as well as long-sleeved protection tops for those participating in water sports and planning to be out in the sun for an extended period. For men, there are plenty of board shorts options, including a hybrid short that is ideal for adventures in the water due to its quick-drying properties and water-release pockets.

PacSun | 1 Premium Outlets Boulevard, Tinton Falls

PacSun is a retail clothing brand with a store located in Jersey Shore Premium Outlets in Tinton Falls. It features a collection of women’s, men’s, and kids’ swimwear. For men, it has a large selection of fun swim trunks. For women, it provides a range of bikinis with full coverage to cheeky bottom coverage options. Palm Place is in Sea Girt, just over a mile from the beach. Palm Place is a Lilly Pulitzer Signature Store; it has men’s, women’s, and children’s swim selections. Its floral and pastel-themed prints are a cute option for a coastal day by the ocean.

Ron Jon Surf Shop | 201 West 9th Street, Ship Bottom

Ron Jon Surf Shop is a surfer-style retail shop in Ship Bottom. For women, it has what feels like an endless selection of bikinis, board shorts, and rash guards. For men, it has boardshorts, volleys, rash guards, and sun protection shirts for an active day in the water. Ron Jon Surf Shop is a one-stop shop for all your beach needs. It has all the accessories and sun care items needed to spend a day at the Jersey Shore.

Separately Swimwear is a classic Jersey Shore specialty swim + beachwear store. Locals love that the staff at Separately Swimwear is always super helpful, and the suits have reasonable price options. The collection at Separately Swimwear is also known for its functional swimwear selections while maintaining a stylish aesthetic.

The Snooki Shop | 604 Boulevard, Seaside Heights

The Snooki Shop is located in Seaside Heights (of course). Snooki debuted its Snookini swimsuit collection, which is bold and fun, a head-turning type of swim line. If you’re a fan of fun animal prints and bright colors, the Snookini line is a must-try.

Style Rocket | 800 Ocean Avenue, Suite 108, Asbury Park

Style Rocket is a beach-themed clothing and accessories store on Asbury Park’s boardwalk. It often has a sale going on, with loads of bikinis on racks to browse through situated on the boardwalk (IYKYK: it’s almost impossible to pass by without taking a quick look or buying a suit. Or two).  In addition to consistently having swimsuit sales, Style Rocket also features fun coastal accessories that complement a cute suit.

SunSmiles Sandals + Beachwear is in Ocean City. It specializes in swim and resort wear for the whole family. Besides its varied suit selection, SunSmiles also offers customers the opportunity to design their sandals, which makes for a good pairing with a new swimsuit.
