Now that March has arrived, it is officially Women’s History Month. New Jersey is home to so many inspiring, hard-working female difference-makers, leaders, and business owners, and there are plenty of local events highlighting their stories and significance. To celebrate, TLG has put together a list of events to honor the occasion. Keep reading for a list of Women’s History Month + International Women’s Day events happening in 2026.

Hudson County
International Women’s Day Panel and Luncheon | 70 Sip Avenue, Jersey City

Hudson County Community College is hosting a panel discussion + luncheon to celebrate International Women’s Day. It will feature educational leaders and is open to college students, who can register here.
Kearny Women’s History Month Celebration | 402 Kearny Avenue, Kearny
Friday, March 6th | 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Kearny is hosting a Women’s History Month Celebration with opportunities to connect with women in business, government, education, health care, and more. It will be hosted at Kearny Town Hall.
International Women’s Day of Dance 2026 | 498 Palisade Avenue, Jersey City
Sunday, March 8th | 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
This event will feature live dance performances from women choreographers to celebrate International Women’s Day. It will be hosted in Riverview–Fisk Park and is free to the public. A short dance workshop will also be held for all ages.
Pass the Crown Around | 210 Hudson Street, Jersey City
Sunday, March 8th | 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
This event will include a panel, keynote speakers, and opportunities to network with some of Hudson County’s women leaders, including entrepreneurs, professors, artists, and more. There will also be an on-site marketplace, fashion show, and each ticket includes a three-course brunch + complimentary glass of champagne.
31 Titles: Women in History | 71 Sip Avenue, Jersey City
Tuesday, March 10th | 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM
Author Janis Daly will be presenting a series titled “31 Titles: Women in History”, a curated list of book recommendations in celebration of Women’s History Month. The event is free and will also include a book bingo game with prizes.
HerStory 2026: An Oratory Play | 345 Marin Boulevard, Jersey City

Art House Productions is presenting a special oratory play in honor of Women’s History Month, with speeches from local women sharing their stories of triumph and inspiration.

Women’s Empowerment Summit | 1 Normal Avenue, Montclair
Thursday, March 12th | 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM
The non-profit organization Inspiring F.A.C.E.S. is hosting a public panel discussion to celebrate Women’s History Month. It will also include a marketplace that is free to the public.
Lisa Parrott Celebrates Gerry Mulligan + Women’s History Month | 10 Kings Road, Madison
Sunday, March 1st | 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
This program will feature baritone saxophonist Lisa Parrott, who will celebrate Women’s History Month with original songs and tributes to classic jazz artists, such as Gerry Mulligan. Before her show, there will be a performance from Pequannock Township High School’s student musicians.
Women’s History Month Flag Raising | 1 Main Street, Woodbridge Township

Woodbridge Township is hosting a flag-raising event to honor Women’s History Month at the city’s Municipal Court. It is open to the public and does not require registration.

This party will be an opportunity to network, celebrate, and enjoy food in honor of International Women’s Day. It will include a fashion show, street food, a DJ, local vendors, raffle prizes, and giveaways. The fashion show is open to women of all ages and follows a “Spring Elegance” theme.
Let’s Talk Women’s Health & Wellness Symposium | 1 Center Street, Newark

The New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) is hosting a women’s health + wellness event dedicated to important topics regarding women’s well-being, including opportunities to network and attend educational, expert-led breakout sessions.

This event will feature speakers honoring Women’s History Month and the legacies of women shaping local culture + community. It is free and an RSVP is required. Attendees will receive a complimentary martini and an optional prix-fixe menu is available.
International Women’s Day at The Meadowlands | 1 Racetrack Drive, East Rutherford
Saturday, March 7th
The Meadowlands Racetrack is honoring women in racing with a special International Women’s Day celebration. It will include evening races, interviews with women in the racing industry, and a broadcasting special.
2026 International Women’s Day Run | 40 Fort Lee Road, Ridgefield Park
Sunday, March 8th | 10:00 AM
North Jersey-based race production company Live Run Give is hosting a 5K run in honor of International Women’s Day. It will be hosted in Overpeck County Park and is open to all participants. Proceeds will benefit JBWS, a non-profit organization that provides safety, support, and solutions to victims of abuse. Pre-registered participants will receive a medal, and shirts are available for the first 200 runners on a first-come, first-served basis.
Annual International Women’s Day March & Exhibit Reception | 83 Norwood Street, Haledon

This pop-up event celebrates International Women’s Day with two artist exhibits: “Women in America’s Revolutions 1776 and 1926” and “Legendary Ladies A to Z”, by artist Patti Kaufman. The event is open to the general public, and light refreshments will be served.

Bergen County’s official Women’s History Month Celebration will honor the impact and efforts of women who are helping build a more sustainable and resilient world. A light dinner will be served, and an RSVP is required by Thursday, March 5th, to attend.

The Axelrod Performing Arts Center is featuring an exhibit named “Women in Motion” in honor of Women’s History Month. Described as “a journey through women’s life experiences”, it includes art from six artists and will be on display until June.
