Tirai – is a morning of Bharatanatyam that moves through invocation, surrender, dissolution, and return. Opening in the radiance of a solar vision and closing in the stillness of pure non-dualism, the program traces a single arc: the soul’s encounter with maya in all its forms – elemental, devotional, philosophical, and achingly human.
Drawn from the wells of Sanskrit, Telugu, and Tamil – from the traditional Carnatic compositions and the fire of nineteenth century social poetry – performed with live Carnatic ensemble, Tirai is choreographed by Smt. Sridevi Srinivas and performed by Sneha Ramachandran, a disciple of Smt. Krishnakumari Narendran and mentored by Smt. Sridevi Srinivas of Sri Art Academy.
