The 100-acre property is owned and operated by sisters Rebekah Alstede Modery and Sarah J. Alstede, second-generation farmers from the family behind Alstede Farms in nearby Chester. Two Sisters Farm officially opened on September 19th and celebrated its grand opening weekend on October 3rd and 4th. According to its <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.twosistersfarmnj.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">website<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the new farm centers around a classic pumpkin-picking experience, with visitors able to take a free wagon ride to the pumpkin patch before searching for a pumpkin to take home. Now, more than four decades later, sisters Rebekah and Sarah are starting a new agricultural chapter with Two Sisters Farm. The property was previously cared for and farmed by Liebenzell USA and was home to the Emmaus Farm Community Garden. After becoming involved with the property earlier this year, the sisters quickly got to work, planting new apple trees and sowing pumpkins ahead of the farm\u2019s inaugural fall season.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What to Expect at Two Sisters Farm<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two Sisters operates as a pick-your-own pumpkin destination, with pumpkins priced at 89 cents per pound and a minimum price of $4.29. Admission to the farm is free, and the wagon ride to and from the pumpkin patch is also free. The farm also has a stand selling seasonal goodies, including local apples, apple cider, freshly baked cider doughnuts, and other baked items.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe want Two Sisters Farm to be a place where people feel welcome from the moment they arrive,\u201d Sarah J. Alstede told<em> Morris Tourism<\/em>. \u201cWhether they come to pick a pumpkin, enjoy the mountain views, or simply spend a fall afternoon together, we hope they leave with memories they\u2019ll want to make again year after year.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two Sisters Farm is also dog-friendly, so well-behaved, leashed pups are welcome to join their humans for a fall outing.
