Everyone has experienced it: a day at the Jersey Shore that slips by so quickly that somehow it’s already nighttime, and hunger is kicking in. There’s nothing worse than a late-night craving hitting, so we compiled a list of eateries that keep their kitchens open down the Jersey Shore. Keep reading for a guide to restaurants open late that are close to some of those beloved Jersey beaches.

10th Ave Burrito | 801 Belmar Plaza, Belmar

10th Ave Burrito serves Mexi-Cali food in Belmar; it has live music and an extensive tequila selection. It has a special late-night menu available until midnight, Thursday to Sunday. This menu features some locals’ favorites from 10th Ave Burrito, like its Mexican street corn bites, nachos, flautas, and homemade chips + salsa. Customers may also recognize its wings featured on the Food Network: the wings are tossed in adobo, buffalo, sweet chili, or general tso’s and served with avocado ranch.

The Chicken or The Egg is a staple to the LBI community; locals love that it has something for anyone — from waffles to wings, sandwiches to crab cakes, and pretty much everything in between. The Chicken or The Egg doesn’t pass judgment on anyone who wants a food indulgence at any hour, as it is open 24 hours on Fridays and Saturdays. Its ‘anytime’ menu has breakfast favorites like omelets, pancakes, and French toast, but it also has salads, wings, burgers, and desserts.

Clem’s Steaks Unlimited | 14 Dupont Avenue, Seaside Heights

Clem’s Steaks Unlimited is a quaint spot in Seaside Heights that is a local favorite. Clem’s Steaks Unlimited has various cheesesteak options, wraps, burgers, and fries. FYI: Besides the cheesesteaks, Clem’s is also known for its cheese balls. Most people who know Clem’s Steak Unlimited say it feels like this spot is open 24/7. Still, JSG was told it is open Monday to Thursday until midnight and Fridays + Saturdays until 2:30AM (but this could be extended depending on the business that night).

Concord Cafe | 7800 Dune Drive, Avalon

Concord Cafe is a family restaurant in Avalon within walking distance of many hotels and attractions. It serves everything from Italian favorites like pizza and pasta to seafood like crab cakes or bar food and classic choices like burgers and cheesesteaks. On weekdays, Concord Cafe’s kitchen is open until 11PM; on weekends, it stays open until 12AM. Concord favorites include the shrimp + avocado BLT and hot roast beef sandwich.

Frankie’s Bar + Grill | 414 Richmond Avenue, Point Pleasant Beach

Frankie’s Bar + Grill has a vintage aesthetic that gives this casual eatery nostalgic vibes with its black and white tiles on the floor and old-school wall art. Frankie’s has a late-night menu from 10PM to 1AM. Customers can order cheeseburgers, roasted clams, shrimp cocktails, sandwiches, hot dogs, wings, or tenders.

Franny’s Pizzeria + Restaurant | 279 Bay Avenue, Highlands

Franny’s Pizzeria + Restaurant serves New York-style pizza and oil-pressed, square, grandma, and Sicilian-style pies. Its special late-night menu is available on Fridays and Saturdays from 10PM to 2AM. FYI: all orders must arrive by 1:30AM, and customers can pick up the food or choose to get it delivered. The menu has specialty pies, including the granny oil-pressed 16″ square pie with toppings, salads, and garlic knots.

Harrigan’s Pub | 703 Baltimore Boulevard, Sea Girt

Harrigan’s Pub is an Irish pub located in Sea Girt. It is known for its sizzling sliced steak sandwich, and it has over 25 craft beer selections. On Fridays and Saturdays, its kitchen is open until 11PM. The menu has items from the ‘land’ pork chops and Guinness BBQ half rack ribs, but it also has items from the ocean, such as salmon and beer-battered fish tacos. There are also starters, salads, burgers, and sandwiches. FYI: the menu indicates which items are gluten-free.

Jamian’s Food + Drink | 79 Monmouth Street, Red Bank

Jamian’s Food + Drink is a local Red Bank bar serving late-night food. Its kitchen is open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. The menu includes pizza, sandwiches, soup, salads, and classic appetizers. Jamian’s often has live music, so customers can get entertainment mixed in with the late-night eats.

Johnny Mac’s House of Spirit | 208 Main Street, Asbury Park

Johnny Mac House of Spirit is a fun bar that will entertain customers with its arcade games and alternative music hits, which typically play in the background while sipping drinks at its indoor or outdoor bars. Johnny Mac’s has a ton of draft beers and a large outdoor seating area with picnic and ping-pong tables. When customers order a drink, they get a ticket, which can be used to grab a personal pizza, typically served until 1AM daily.

JR’S | 75 Brighton Avenue D, Long Branch + 17 West Front Street, Red Bank

JR’S is the spot for those looking for casual eats into the wee hours in Long Branch and Red Bank. It has burgers, sandwiches, seafood, grilled wraps, and vegetarian selections. JSG loves that it has a portion of the menu dedicated to sides like breaded zucchini sticks and jalapeno poppers. JR’s has fun sauce options for those continent enthusiasts, like Kraft Cheese Whiz, wasabi mayo, and open-pit BBQ sauce. Both locations are open until midnight Sunday to Wednesday, 2AM on Thursdays, and on Fridays + Saturdays JR’s extends its hours until 3AM.

Kelly’s Tavern | 43 NJ-35, Neptune City

Kelly’s Tavern serves American and Irish food in a comfortable environment. Its Irish section has items like shepherd’s pie, corned beef, pastrami, and meatloaf sandwiches. There are also salads, pizza, wings, burgers, and appetizers for sharing. For those looking for somewhere to eat late on a Wednesday, its kitchen is open until 1AM, and depending on business, the kitchen stays open every other night of the week.

Kim Marie’s Eat n’ Drink Away | 1411 Kingsley Street, Asbury Park

Kim Marie’s Eat n’ Drink Away is just steps from Asbury Park’s boardwalk. After a night out, stop by this classic Irish pub for late-night food, which is served until midnight. Kim Marie’s has all those comfort food desires that may hit past dinner time; expect burgers, grilled cheese, mac n’ cheese, and wings. The fried foods like the mozzarella sticks and chicken fingers will be hard to resist. Kim Marie’s stays open until 2AM every day, and is known for its $5 Guinness pint that is sure to mix well with any of its indulgent plates.

MOGO Korean Fusion Tacos | 632 Cookman Avenue, Asbury Park

MOGO Korean Fusion Tacos is located on Cookman Avenue, which is a hub of some of Asbury Park’s favorite bars, so this is a convenient spot to visit if the group is hungry after a night out as its kitchen is open on Fridays + Saturdays until 3AM. MOGO brings Korean flavors to tacos; it has meats, fish, tofu, and salad combinations served on a fresh flour tortilla, perfect for a quick late-night meal. It also has burritos, bowls, a Korean fried chicken sandwich, and a Bibimbap Burger. JSG recommends trying Korean doughnuts, which are a sweet way to end the night.

Pizza Shop | 1508 Main Street, Belmar

Pizza Shop in Belmar is the pizzeria to turn to if no one wants to leave the house — it has delivery until 2AM on Fridays and Saturdays. Its menu has specialty pies, and JSG loves that there are plenty of toppings to choose from. For those who aren’t craving pizza, it also serves focaccia sandwiches, salads, and pasta.

Reef + Barrel | 153 Sea Girt Avenue, Manasquan

Reef + Barrel serves seasonal pub plates, events + live music, and daily specials. Its kitchen is open until 10PM during the week, and on the weekends, customers can get food until 11PM. The menu features casual eats like burgers, wraps, fried food, and tacos. JSG suggests catching the sunset on its rooftop and staying late to try out one of its fun dishes, like short rib ravioli, jambalaya, and fajitas.

Sally Boy’s Pizza | 1 Broad Street, Red Bank

Sally Boy’s Pizza in Red Bank serves three distinct types of pizzas, called the trifecta of pizza perfection — Classic NY Style, Neapolitan Style, and Roman Style. Sally Boy’s Pizza has a street-access pickup for late-night cravings. It is open Thursday nights from 10PM to 12AM and Friday and Saturday nights from 10PM to 2AM. Besides pizza, Sally Boy’s has cold or hot subs, monster calzones, specialty rolls, and classic Italian entrees.

The Mix Lounge + Food Bar | 71 Brighton Avenue, Long Branch

The Mix Lounge + Food Bar is a casual dining spot that serves pizza, pub grub, and creative cocktails. Its kitchen is open until 11PM every day of the week. The menu features a wide range of items that will keep the whole group happy- tacos, beer-battered onion rings, bag o’ fries, eggplant rollatini, and meatballs. Its specialty pizzas are a good option for a late-night bite, and for those who want a healthy but filling option, it also has big bowl salad options.

The Shore House Tavern | 2114 NJ-88, Point Pleasant

The Shore House Tavern is a family-owned tavern located in Point Pleasant. Its menu features salads, wings, flatbreads, pizza, and handhelds, all available until 10PM. The Shore House Tavern also has a special late-night menu, served until 12:30AM daily, and it has fun options like its jumbo pretzel and fried foods. For those who live about twenty minutes away, The Shore House Tavern has a free shuttle service, which makes this late-night food option even more convenient.

Vagabond Kitchen + Tap House | 672 North Trenton Avenue, Atlantic City

Vagabond Kitchen + Tap House is an Atlantic City tavern with a laid-back vibe; it has creative burgers and a ton of beers on tap. On Fridays and Saturdays, Vagabond keeps its kitchen open from 12:30AM to 1AM, depending on business. It has plenty of appetizers, such as its famous ‘banger’ calamari, chips, salsa + guacamole,  and quesadillas, all good choices for sharing. JSG loves its fries menu, which sounds perfect for late-night pickings. It gives customers a choice of truffle fries, hand-cut Belgium style, loaded fries, and add-ons like BBQ pulled pork and signature sauces for dipping.
