The space has craft beer, burgers, pizza, pinball + more. Owner and NOVA native Curry Lee is putting his own twist on the brewery, with featured artwork from local artists and a dog-friendly patio. After applying, meeting with the corporate team, and traveling to Pennsylvania for an approval process, Curry decided the brand was the right fit. \u201cI really like the brand. The building at 2315 Dulles Station Boulevard was just being built around the time that Curry was negotiating with the Voodoo team. Curry said one of his favorite parts of the project has been seeing all of those individual decisions finally come together. \u201cThere\u2019s something very cool to look at no matter where you turn,\u201d he said.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><b>What to Expect<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of Voodoo Brewing\u2019s guiding ideas is that craft beer is about more than what is in the glass. Curry described the brand\u2019s philosophy as focusing on \u201ccraft beer, community + more than just beer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The bar has 24 taps, with Curry expecting roughly 12 to 14 of those to feature Voodoo Brewing beers at a given time. He also plans to keep several seasonal selections in the rotation. Curry said the lineup is intended to include approachable options for more traditional beer drinkers alongside IPAs + specialty releases for craft beer fans. The bar will also serve cider, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beer in cans. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The rail vodka comes from Northern Virginia\u2019s Open Road Distilling Co., another local touch Curry was excited to incorporate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The core menu focuses on elevated American bar food, including pizza, burgers + wings, with additional specials from Curry and the chef. Curry has already been in touch with bands and entertainment providers about programming such as live music, trivia + bar jeopardy. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The brewery can also host private events, from partial-space reservations to full buyouts depending on the day, group size + other factors. Food and beverage packages can be customized for events, too. The entire patio is dog-friendly, and Curry is also considering outdoor programming such as live music during happy hour when the weather cooperates.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">More than anything, Curry wants the space to avoid fitting neatly into one category. \u201cIt\u2019s not like a sports bar,\u201d he said. At the same time, he doesn\u2019t want it to feel overly serious or intimidating like some traditional craft beer spaces can. Instead, Voodoo Brewing combines elements of a brewery, restaurant + neighborhood hangout into one space. \u201cA lot of my care and love and attention and time are put into this,\u201d Curry said, \u201cand I think people will recognize that.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/herndon.voodoobrewery.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Voodoo Brewing<\/a> will open on October 24th at 2315 Dulles Station Road in Herndon.
