Join the Friends of Reston on Sunday, October 4th, for the 6th Annual Fall 5K to help raise funds for their scholarship and enrichment programs. All proceeds for this event support the Friends of Reston, a 501(c)(3) supporting organization of Reston Association.<\/p>\n
New this year, Friends of Reston is excited to announce the addition of a Pumpkin Dash. This is a free event intended for children 10 and under, but all kids are welcome to participate. Children in the dash will receive a small pumpkin for finishing the race. <\/p>\n
The race will start and finish at Browns Chapel Park. The Pumpkin Dash will start at 8:00 am, and will conclude before the start of the the 5K race at 8:15 am. The distance of the Dash is about 50 yards up to 200M depending on the children’s age. The 5K Runners will run along the Reston paved trails.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
